Real quality defender, i think it helps in the style Liverpool play, it really suits him! Shame we didn’t snatch him from Celtic, was it around 8m Southampton paid for him.

He backtracks so far they can shoot without having to pass him.
He is very good though, what a difference it would make if we had a defender like him.

I still can’t believe we didn’t buy him and in my opinion Joe Gomez is going to be even better.

Up to his unfortunate injury last season he looked brilliant next to Van Dijk. They will be up there with the best CB pairings.
