Excited to see the midfield and attack options. Not super important roles to fill but exciting

Great to hear about the left back - again, we could have coped with nacho fir another year but glad we're addressing it now

Not at all happy that we haven't sorted out the defensive spine of the side. Be it better training, new defence coach and for 💩💩💩💩 sack a new centreback who can play this season.

No intention of watching that 💩 show of a defence Or ineptness from Emery next season. Surely if he learnt 1 thing irs - we can't defend for toffee.

Come on guys - sort this mess out and get them integrated. It's the most important piece of the jigsaw and still not resolved.

It's what Emery does in terms of respeting the value of defence that matters most, little point in buying new players and telling them to sort themselves out as they go along while putting all his time and energy into our attack.
Once we start respecting the value of not conceding as much as we place importance scoring then we will see an upturn in our competitive capabilities.
I'm really hoping for a change in attitude from Emery next season.

We need a proper commanding leader of CB defo. Look at the impact that VVD had at Liverpool I don't think they would have become City's main threat without him.

Long term Holding could be the new Tony Adams but that is a a lot of ifs and buts. Sokratis is decent but no spring chicken now and Mustafi as we know is liability and with Kos most likely to leave it is still a weak area. Maybe Emery is seriously looking at Holding and Chambers CB partnership long term but that is big risk right now for me? . Not sure that young Greek lad is ever going to make it tbh not convinced.

With Pepe looking close will be interesting to see what formation Emery uses 4-2-3-1 but that for means the two DM's have to very disiplined and strong not sure they are enough right now, and the fullbacks will need to curb there attacking instincts somewhat to make that a effective setup. If we were to go Aubu, Ozil/ Cebellos, Pepe behind Lacazette. Lots of goal potential and plenty of speed on the break but little cover defensivly for the players behind

Would be good to sell Iowbi and Miki to raise funds and free wages for that CB we need.

Holding is quality, Actions speak louder than words keep tabs on him, way better than stones.

Your forgetting that pepe is also known for his work rate, and will get up and down to help the full back on his side.

It's strange J93 I've read his defensive work rate is poor mate but like everything else we will soon find out for ourselves.
Holding is not yet and may never be what people are trying to make him out to be, give the lad time and an extended run before declaring him the real deal or nothing special.
If Real Barcelona and City suddenly start taking an interest in Rob Holding we have some player on our hands but at the moment it's all hopeful rather than proven thinking.

Iv also read its poor, but iv seen more reviews on the player in the last few days stating other wise, thingers crossed he can hit the ground running in the league, if he does sign that is, as the french league is not much comparison to the premier league. We maybe thinking in a few months what if we went for Zaha instead 🤣.

Hopefully he can do Kante and take the premier league by storm from day one 93 mate.
Obviously it would be unfair to expect that but someone will the judged as the signing of this summer next May so let's hope it's our new record signing mate:-)
