Raul Sanllehi seems to be a quality negotiator.
Last season we made 4 permanent signings, all at reasonable fees in an inflated market.
This season, so far he has managed to secure;
Martinelli 6m - Lots of clubs were after him and he looks to have a bright future.
Ceballos - Excellent loan signing, which helps with the reported limited budget.
Saliba - Was in demand as a young CB with huge potential. The season loan is deal will give this 18 year more first team playing time in a league that is not as ferocious as the PL. The fee is also deferred and paid in instalments.
Hopefully, he will win the race for Pepe, again he has manged to pay the fee over 5 seasons. This helps with cash flow and compliance with FFP rules.
Tierney - Celtic have bargained hard, but 25m for a 22 year old LB with plenty of experienced, isn't a fortune in today's market.
If he can sell Mustafi to Monaco for 20m+, then he is a genius.
I would like to see us sell Jenkinson, Chambers, Koscielny and Mustafi for sure. I can live with Mkhitaryan and Ozil in the squad, particularly if we have Ceballos and Pepe.
In addition to Pepe and Tierney a CB would be ideal. Of our current crop, only Holding and Sokratis are good enough. Mavrapanos and Medley should be given time to mature. Whilst next season Saliba comes into the equation. We are being linked with Rugani, is he the answer? I.

Ambitious sales platform, but who will play centreback?

Don’t understand why Chambers is in the list. He performed good in the preseason, and I’m pretty sure Unai has him in his plans! And to say Sokratis is our best CB is hilarious. He’s good but this season, with the introduction of VAR, we will all see how exposed he is!
