Asano has been sold to Partizan Belgrade for 1m. We signed him 3 years ago for 3.5m and he never played a single minute. One of Wenger's odd signings, losing 2.5m.
At least the current regime appear to be trying hard to move such players on, opposed to continually loaning them out.

He was a gamble signing, but we needed to take those risks back then. If he'd have worked out not only would we have had a bargain signing but he'd of generated huge amounts of revenue from the Japanese market.

Should we have taken the risk? For 3.5m, 100%.

We've took much worse and much bigger risks that haven't paid off sforza mate. You've got to speculate to accumulate and no manager or club are immune to poor choices.
It's the majority decisions and what happens on the pitch that ultimately tells all that really matters.
