Hi Ed's,
I've been following the whole of this transfer season mostly on this site. Thanks first of all for all the great work you do.

Just wondering - With us getting 33+Mil at the end from sales of Kos, Jenko and Iwobi - Do you still feel we have spent next seasons money also?

{Ed002's Note - Oh yes. The club are hedging their bets on success and bringing in additional commercial income. Maybe they could still sell a couple of players this summer to ease the future grief.}

The future is all still to be played for, Pepe could be worth 150 million this time next year or he could join Xhaka and Mustafi on the list of unsellables :-)
No one knows the future sometimes you've just got to enjoy the now!

do you see it as a big risk ed? or something that we can recover from if things don't go our way this season with a champions league spot.

{Ed002's Note - It is a major risk going forward and the club will need to look to sell.}

Yes we have taken a financial gamble on getting into top 4 this season which will be vital. I think Chelsea's ban helped push us a little in taking advantage now with one less big club not being able to potentially go for our targets. And also the fact we may see this season as the best chance to push ahead of Chelsea and knock them out of that top 4 place. They are in a bit of unknown prospect now with respected but inexpirenced Lampard at the helm and no Hazard.

Still question marks with Utd and if OGS has what it takes to mange them they have spend big on Maquire but he will improve their defence but wan bissaka and james are young and unproven and for me they not got creativity in midfield and the mood of Pogba seems a constant issue.

It been good window but only time will tell if the gamble pays off. I think we have a decent chance of Top 4 but look how we blew it in the last few games when it was handed to us on plate. We need to show a stronger mentality as a squad when the going gets tough and pressure is on.

If we miss out again on top 4 the money will then very much dry up I think we could be in real danger of losing our top stars and starting on that slippery slope down.

We are not taking a gamble here. we have a net spending of approx. £55 mill if you remove saliba from the equation (approx 80 with) this is pretty much what we have spend the last years. Even though the inflation on what players cost sky rocketing every year. If you check the books available on the Arsenal site you will see that we got more than £150 mill in cash. And no red numbers anywhere. We got a new kit deal worth £60 mill a year. We are considered the seventh most valuable club in the world. We have a lot of young talents coming up through the ranks. We building a new management structure.

Where is the problem?

{Ed002's Note - The first problem is you don’t understand the finances at all. Hopeless.}
