Watching the toot v Everton match, Gomez has bust his ankle. Martin Atkinson has to be the worst ever ref. He should be banned.

The player is obviously in a very poorly condition and the players involved in this entirely unintended incident are completely devastated.
Absolutely nothing to do with the referee, obviously everyone's thoughts are with the injured player and wishing him a 100% complete recovery and as speedy as possible. Horrible thing to happen to everyone involved.

If you watched the match, shortly before the incident, Gomes hits Son’s face with his arm and the referee does nothing. It was a foul and a booking. Hence Son is still feeling hard done by and shorty after chases down Gomes and is over committed to the tackle. I do not believe he intended to injure Gomes, but poor referring failed to calm the situation down.

As is usual with this poor referee he got many decisions wrong and handles the game badly. The Everton fans were singing ‘ the referees a W.’.
On a separate note Walcott and Iwobi were awful. How we got over £50m for the pair is astonishing. Iwobi’s part in the Toot goal proved just how poor he is.

Don’t think that fair on Iwobi, he’s been a good signing for them, it’s only one mistake.
