Spuds get Jose - someone IMO we should have had - I know Ed disagrees but he’s got experience and knows the PL more I can say about Dick.

It's an absolute brilliant day to be an Arsenal fan, I never thought for a moment the club would employ Jose after his long history of unprovoked unnecessary unwarranted attacks on our former and longest serving most successful manager.
Its a very good feeling to know that despite our on field problems our club is still way to classy to stoop to such depths.
Away from the hot seat of management I quite like Jose Mourinho as a person but unfortunately football management brings out the worst in him as a person since his time in Italy and Spain.
Certainly not Arsenal material old chap.

I fully agree Banbury. Watch Mourinho at the Toot. I still fail to comprehend why on earth Arsenal fans want Dyche or Wilder!
Emery has lost the fans and the players. He should have been replaced during the International break. The best option was serial winner Mourinho. The Toot sensibly stepped in and got him. I wouldn’t mind Pochettino, he did well at the Toot.

I’d take Poch any day I think they’ve made a huge mistake 😂.

Poch got more top 4 finishes in 5 seasons under Poch than all the rest of the Spurs managers since the 60s could manage between them but! Poch had lost his edge at Spurs and I think it's 100% the right decision for both manager and club to part company.
Just wait for the Spurs fans to turn on Jose once the bus is parked in they're shiny new stadium a few months, Spurs haven't ever been anything but a cup side in my memory but they've always tried to play good football and The cornflake king is certainly going to make even the Spurs chicken on the beach ball want to look the other way.
Best they can possibly hope for is 3rd place plus league cup but will most likely end up winning the Europa league at some point and let's face who doesn't want to win the Europa league, exiting times? Yes for gooners :-)

{Ed001's Note - doing better than previous managers who underachieved is not an achievement. If he had managed to keep Spurs competing against Klopp and Pep, then it is an achievement. But as soon as he had decent teams up against him, he is shown up as the weak manager he is.}

It may not be an achievement in your book Ed001 mate but he's achieved what all other Spurs managers failed to achieve in 50 years before him.
Compare him to Fergie and he's an ant next to a giant but in Spurs history he's a giant amongst ants.
Klopp is doing an amazing job at Liverpool and will finally bring back a league title to a place it used to almost live on a permanent basis, Spurs have never been anywhere close to division one or premier league champions in my lifetime, not 1 serious challenge in 57 years but the most consistent Spurs I've ever seen has been under Poch where they were top 4 regulars.
For man United 4th and the fa cup isn't really success but for Newcastle 4th and the FA cup would be the stuff of legends on tyneside, success is relevant to your surroundings and Poch is only second to bill Nicholson at Spura while Klopp is still behind Shanks Paisley Fagan Dalglish at Liverpool for all his brilliance.

{Ed001's Note - sorry but that is not an achievement. Wenger was doing better than Emery, but it wasn't an achievement, it was just not being utterly hopeless. Poch came in when United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City were in turmoil and still couldn't win a thing. That is underachieving. All the rest is irrelevant.}

Are we still going on about the 'Serial Winner Mourinho' stuff? New story 911 that ship has sailed. Gunner mate you're absolutely spot on. Good post!
