Ed I wanted to ask, there's this Nigerian business man who always talks about arsenal and said he's serious about buying arsenal in 2021. Do you know anything about him or should we just take this as big talk no action?

{Ed002's Note - His name is Aliko Dangote and I would not concern yourself with it.}

He just needs us to send him a small upfront payment first so he can release the funds.

Thanks Ed. I can see your getting a bit annoyed with people asking questions with the league being suspended but with the developments of today (Leicester players showing signs of the symptoms) surely the time has come to suspend it? Or what’s your own opinion on the matter? Any Ed feel free to comment.

{Ed002's Note - It is getting very tiresome.}

I really do respect your opinions on this page g62. You are one of the few who really say it as it is but I'm really shocked that you would encourage Eden's stereotyping in the name of a joke? Or do you not see it for what it is?

I'm sorry dElly, I didn't mean to cause any offence or stereotype.

Hi dELLYOsh mate, it's funny in my book because it's not aimed at causing offence to anyone anywhere or cruel in any way shape or form. I was born and bred in a maket town in the fens and there are loads of jokes about us all being inbred, most of them of boring but some are absolutely brilliant and I love telling them to my friends and family (basically the sane thing really) , as I said to cousin, I mean sister, I mean wife last night, calm down and give me a high 6 :-)
It's like anything mate take things as they are intended abd if no offence is meant what's the problem?

Based on the type of music you enjoy - we poke fun at you. We being southern softies.

DG, it's an assumption that as a Nigerian, he is a fraudster. That's what makes the joke sour.
G62, I get what you r saying and like you said, this is one of the boring ones. Eden, no offence taken. Just that jokes like this don't really go down well in these parts. Don't mean to upset anyone either.
PS. Love the banter here even tho I fall into the category of the silent readers. Shout out to the Eds. You guys r amazing.

{Ed001's Note - thanks mate, nice to meet you.}

Seemed like a play on the Nigerian lottery scam rather than a stereotype on Nigerians. I never thought for a second someone was directing the comment towards all Nigerians. May be I’m glossing over this or were being super-sensitive but interesting that it could be taken that way and a nice diversity lesson for me. Welcome to the site!

I couldn't agree more SY, your lucky mate you only have to put up with 4 or 5 times a day, I'm not stuck with me 24/ 7 but hey ho to each thier own, but why did I have to get paired up with me :-)

Can't pretend to understand the wine smoking jacket and the obsession with other people keeping their hedges in an orderly and seemly fashion but must admit I'm quite impressed at how Boris is handling the current situation, openly and honestly, he's come a long way from his phone nicking and fridge hiding days, I've no doubt normal service will be resumed far to soon but credit where it's due.

Yes it came to mind because how the post was worded reminded me of the email scam and how it seemed too good to be true, it wasn't meant as a stereotype of Nigerians. But I can see how if you're nigerian having a scam associated with you would be annoying and make it not very funny, so I'm sorry, much love.

Hey Eden, I appreciate your honesty. I'm Nigerian but an Arsenal fan thru and thru and I think that binds us more.
G62, your sense of humour is second to none on this site.
I don't post because a lot of posts r reflections of my tots as well. That's what I love about u guys. We can all speak our minds freely and any misunderstanding is handled maturely (like this one) .
It's a though time worldwide right now. Prayers for the boss and his family and anyone who has come in contact with him.

Still join in dELLYOsh mate, even when we agree the posters the longer the threads the wider the opinions more the interning the debate and quite often some humour appears.
One of my favourite things about Arsenal football club is the diversity of our fan base, people from all over the world and all Walks of life where and we are almost gooners equally regardless of our location be it London Nigeria Australia or the North pole, Santa doesn't where red and white for no reason :-)
we even have an SY! What other club can say that :-)
