So, if he thought this

"Thierry Henry, " Ferdinand said in response to a question about the best striker he'd played against. "I know, I used to watch on TV or I'd look in the tunnel when I was in there and some players I would see thinking 'Woah, it's Thierry Henry, look'. "

"It was that effect he had on people. There's only a handful of players I've seen in time that have that effect. He was one of them. I'd see some players shrink in the tunnel.

"When I watched the game on TV and I see the tunnel I'm thinking 'Before the game's even started, before that man's head hit his pillow last night, Thierry was in his brain. Thierry had finished him off. ' Some big players as well. "

What do opponents think when they look at our defence and midfield in the tunnel. they must dream of our defence sleeping or Xhaka taking forever to turn. how far exactly have we fallen behind our 04 team?

I've been watching a lot of the 90s and early 2000 games and seriously how quick was football back then, it was direct and players played with drive and not too much ticky tacka rubbish we see these days that bores out of sometimes.

Yep - used to love seeing Cole get the ball and bolt down the left wing giving the ball to Robbie or Henry, Within 20 seconds we could go from defending a corner, goalie actually catching the ball and starting that counter attack.

We could take - how long now.
