Where is this Gabriel then no sign of him signing.

To be fair Stephen have we ever seen one photo or video of him at a UK airport or anywhere in England that's supports all click bait rumours from all the usual media false rumour suspects? I'm yet to see any reliable source make any claims of done deals let alone all stuff about Edu playing a blinder against all odds and Gabriel himself agreeing anything with anyone.
I'm not saying it's not going to happen only that not a single media report so far has yet to come true.

Apparently he's had the same medical as Higuain, takes 3-5 years.

Joke Chelsea got chillwell quicker then this guy has a medical.

I thought we only passed around in the transfer window under Wenger. Low balled under Wenger, linked to every player but signed no one under Wenger and penny pinched under Wenger with no clear direction. may be it’s just Arsenal being Arsenal. In the 70s and 80s - cheap, signing players at the last minute to save a weeks wages. now the difference is Kia is the conductor.

To be fair to Arsenal Stephen the clubs not actually said anything at all on Gabriel, it's all been 100% the media feeding people what they want to be true.

He’s signing guys, relax.

I can't until I see it dags we take the longest to sign players I swear.

Why are you so uptight about a player you probably hadn’t heard of until 6 months ago?

9.) 27 Aug 2020

I'm not uptight mate it's just frustrating saying we've agreed a fee had a medical and nothing just don't get why our club take soong and I had heard of him as I watch the French league.

For all the clubs faults and there are many of them but it's not Arsenal's fault that the fans fall for same old newspaper TV and social media false stories year after year. To the best of my knowledge the club has never said a word about they had signed Gabriel or he was having a medical or he was arriving in London this week it's all been media fantasy.
Last summer there was outrage that we only had a transfer budget of 40 million, again the club never once Said this but people were in uproar about our low budget because of yet more media totally invented false news.
Any anger about Gabriel transfer should be directed towards the media that lied all along not Arsenal who never said a word in the first place.

I agree Gunner mate but to be fair, various reliable sources such as Fabrizio Romano and Ornstein have both stated 3 days ago that the player was in London having a medical and was about to sign a 5 year contract with his representatives.

They've also stated that he then has to go in to 14 day quarantine so is that holding up the photo shoots etc maybe? Personally I think Arsenal don't want to announce it because they like the whole PR/ media release stuff.

Rarely do we announce a signing without a special video and interviews released on their website and so on.

That Romano has just said its all done and signed it's meant to be announced by end of the week.

You may well be right Glen mate and i really hope you are but I can't help but think! Why so many words yet not one single photo to support those words, no pictures of Gabriel arriving at any airport or at London Colney either?
Romano did actually say the deal would be announced in Tuesday but obviously Tuesday came and went with no announcement.
The deal may well happen at some point this summer but the club are not to blame for what stories the media report or for what media fantasies the fans choose to fall for.
Personally I choose to question all the media stories before getting over excited or upset about them because when you think about it how many times have we sold Auba to United since he arrived :-) and how many players have mysteriously disappeared after going into the infamous London Colney triangle :-) .

‘Everything is okay when both parties sign, ’ said Arteta when asked about the status of Gabriel’s transfer. ‘Sometimes that in the last stages isn’t easy but we are pretty positive we can do it.

That sounds realistic Banbury mate and obviously Arteta is a very reliable source :-) . Ed002 said on the rumours page the deal will happen but international clearance and stuff needs to be sorted first.

27 Aug 2020 19:24:40
Maybe we are dragging it out to hopefully get some players out the door first?

{Ed002's Note - I have explained the reason. Why is it so difficult to accept>}

I haven't seen your explanation Ed. Otherwise I would have accepted it.
