Surprised we haven't been in for Doucoure. Everton seem to be doing some decent business again.

With the exception of the first 2, most of those names, on paper, were extremely good buys. It just didn't pan out for them, which is a shame.

There was also Pickford, Bernard, Gylfi, etc. Again, on paper, very good buys. I'm actually surprised they're not doing better in the league.

I'm not too fussed we missed out on Doucoure. He was never the "beast of a DM" or whatever the talksport crowd hyped him to be. Capoue was always there to cover for him when he went walkabouts and he was never particularly positionally aware when it came to shielding his defence. If anything I thought Capoue was always the better player. Not the right man for us, much happier with Ceballos. We still need a CDM.
