Ed, one of my favourite all times cars In your picture, the Rover SDI, hopefully with the 3500 V8. Love it. Many years ago I remember being on my way to work one Rainy day where I had to walk past a petrol station. Just as I was doing so A guy pulled out of the station in a Rover SDI V8 and just gunned it. He sat virtually still for about 30 seconds, engine screaming and tyres spinning, and left behind most of his rubber and probably a large amount of the petrol he just bought right there and then, legend! Already loved that car but after that day, when most of the street came out to see what all the noise was about, it went to the top of my list!, I occasionally gun it out of the petrol station just in honour of that man and car!

{Ed001's Note - I loved them too, my mate had one but it did spend most of its time broken down on the side of the road! When it did go though that V8 sounded glorious, such a lovely growl it had.}

I am tempted to pick one up Ed, but I am not good with mechanics, and as you say, they weren’t exactly the most reliable of motors. I did own the next Rover that replaced the SDI, the 827 fastback, with the Honda engine. Unbelievably it was really reliable, and fast. There’s nothing like driving an ‘old mans car’ that then pisses away from the hot hatches at the lights. We had it for years until we got a hit and run driver side swipe us late one night. We were both safe as houses, so even though it died that night, it looked after us right to the end!

{Ed001's Note - they weren't well built things, Rovers, sadly.}

Xhaka’s an odd one, without seeming to do much exceptional or even memorable (except for the mistakes) in a match he seems to bring a balance to the team that means overall they play better with him on the pitch. If we could find an exponential player (Partey? ) who also brought the same balance I think it could move Arsenal a lot closer to contending for the title.
