Ed002, following the news that Mikel has been promoted to First team Manager and (im guessing here) Edu's and Vinai's role being more defined, does this represent a new structure at the club? You have always been quite clear that the whole structure is a mess, but is this a move to rectify this in your opinion? Or do these moves not make much of a difference regardless and the whole structure will remain a shambles? TIA.

{Ed002's Note - The structyure has been far from fixed. Vinai Venkatesham as head of football is a joke.}

I believe he is CEO now. According to Amy Lawrence, Venkatesham is mostly concerned with the business side and Edu as technical director would be the man in charge of everything football related, with Venkatesham only occasionally involved. The worry for me is that Edu and Fahmy are now in charge of negotiations for acquiring players, which neither have experience doing. Far from fixed, certainly, but also certainly another step in the right direction following Raul being sacked.

Hi Ed002,

In the interview Edu basically says that he is the Head of Football. Vinai is the CEO. Areteta is the Manager and then basically Huss as the negotiator.
I understand all are very young. I understand the you can have reservations against their capabilities as even I have. But that is an issue in the personal but as the structure seems like what most clubs have now Manage + Football Head + CEO.
Is there still some problem in that as well as per you.

It would be great if you could elaborate a bit more. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Fine.}
