Afternoon Ed's et al
I keep reading that our number 1 target is Aouar to add creativity and if funds available Partey.
Is this true - is that the priority creativity Vs Clean sheet? Or more a reflection of what deal is possible
I look at our creative / attack minded players and then our proper CDMs trying to work out where we need reinforcements more urgently - I can't for the life of me figure out how we need creativity / attack more than defence.
If it's opportunity Vs need then ok but if it's priority of budget then surely anyone as an see we need a proper CDM first and I agree a creative spark second although I thought the "magnificent" Dani was our creative spark because he certainly isn't our CDM beast.
{Ed002's Note - I think it is correct that Aouar would be first choice. It is not a reflection of anything other than preference for any available funds. But sales need to be made first and then the right offer made.}

Some fulcrum in the midfield for ball distribution would be great. If we're playing with a back three and wingbacks, with overlapping defensive cover from the midfield, do we need a formal CDM? Maybe, but not always.

Thanks Ed, what are your thoughts on him rather than a CDM? Wise choice or would you rather see a CDM signed?
{Ed002's Note - I am not sure that you can equate the two. Arsenal have several players in Granit Xhaka, Mohamed Elneny, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira who can play as a DM and have not left the club.}

Not sure I would pick any of them 😂
Hopefully Torriera and Matteo are off
That leaves Elneny who I wouldn’t want nor Granit. I get it’s not football manager but let’s say we are stuck with Granit then surely we need a proper CDM next to him to protect a young back 4. Dani certainly isn’t a CDM plus a bit light weight for that role nor super creative to solve our other issue
Do you not agree?
If no one leaves - then we are stuck.

Honestly Sy I have never heard someone talk so much nonsense and have such an over inflated opinion that they want the people to hear.
You say nothing positive, ever. Why even bother watching?!
Mikel has done a good job so far - I accept Monday was a bad game but against one of the best teams the league has seen in a long time.
He has changed us tactically and got more out of players than anyone expected. He does need a creative player to help generate more chances as Ozil is clearly not getting back in the squad any time soon, so if/ when that happens we will be better for it.
On behalf of everyone that reads this page, please stop posting your crap opinions as you sound deluded, or like you’re actually a Spurs fan just trying to bait people.
