Go Ozil!

"Mesut Ozil has offered to pay the salary of the man inside Arsenal's Gunnersaurus outfit after the mascot was given the boot. "

Another shot at the club?

Bless him he just wants to be loved 😂 unfortunately the only way that will happen is if he decides to play in the reserves and prove he can put a shift in, I would have no problem with him being on the bench and being given a few last 20 minutes of games until he realises he needs to work harder, but I just feel that MA just doesn’t see him as an arsenal player any more.

I don't think Ozil not playing has anything to do with lack of work rate tbh, he was playing very well pre-C.V. I genuinely think it was the unwillingness to take a pay cut and comments on muslim concentration camps in china which have for some reason given MA no choice but to freeze him out.

I agree Colney mate.

Colney mate it's definitely politics and it has to do with his comments about China, as AFC will not want to lose its fan base there, which I think it brings a fair amount of income if I'm not wrong.

If Mesut speaking out about China's horrendous human rights abuses has anything to do with the clubs treatment of Mesut its absolutely shameful Moe!
Personally I don't think that is the main driver of the clubs treatment of Mesut because he was playing after that event, it's only since Ozil refused to take a pay cut that he's been frozen out completely.
The club obviously bare a grudge against Mesut for having the audacity to accept the contract the club freely gave him and for not being prepared to accept a pay cut without knowing what would be achieved with the money he agreed not to take.

Agreed and I think this is a 🖕message to the club from Ozil linked to him not taking a pay cut

It is funny also that now there is a divide between the club and Ozil - the media now always shows pictures of Ozil looking happy and as if he’s really putting in at training. Where as when he was playing the photos were of negative body language.

Did you all not think, Arteta thinks he’s not good enough.

I don’t know why we just don’t pay him off and get him gone?

He did before lock down Mark, it was only after lock down and Mesut refused to take a pay cut he was frozen out not even making the bench when we're struggling for numbers through lots of injuries to players in the early stages of the season resuming.

Ozil didn't refuse he demanded to know how his money are going to be spent. And yes since ozil statement about the China, ther have been many issues and the club went with a statement to distance themselves from ozil point of view and the Chinese were furious.
Since then the relationship between the club and ozil started to breakdown and then the whole scenario with the wage thing came up. And the end of the day its up to him to refuse the pay cut but if it's not a footballing reason to drop him then it's a disgraceful act from the club.
I love arsenal through and through and I have been doing so from the first day I start to understand football and I will keep doing so but politics are major in our world and unfortunately we only believe what we read or see on TV and forget to look out side the box.
Sorry guys if I upset anyone with my comment as its never been my intention. Love to you all my gunners family.

Based on our lack of creativity - I think he’s worth a run in the side. He’s demonstrated quality but he’s not a presser. Seeing him live is a joy to watch with his touch, unselfish running and taking up sensible places in the pitch. It’s not his fault the team can’t defend or we take 50 passes sideways before we attack. With Partey adding steel and leadership - I’m hoping and thinking we can afford a luxury like Ozil now. Give him a run if 5 or 6 games and let’s see.

It can’t be worse than watching Luiz grab shirts, AMN miscontrol or miss pass from left wing or Pepe do 6 step overs or Granit / Luiz give the ball away with Hollywood passing or pussing around passing at the back from a goal kick. Why not give the assist king a try?

I’m sure it’s politics or Mikel can’t manage him but either way - we lack creativity and someone finding space etc

Gotta be worth a shot.

You haven't upset me Moe mate, I fully support and have total respect for Mesut in speaking out against the Chinese Government human rights abuses, I only wish more people with the voice to do so had followed his example.

Hi Moe mate, usually I don’t take things to heart and the majority of my posts are a bit of a wind up, having a bit of fun. But this weekly agenda about Ozil and Luiz posts has become tedious and boring .
Everyone is aloud an opinion, but come on enough is enough.

I only threw Luiz in as an example Malaga as to why not try. We gamble elsewhere but my initial post was more about him paying money for our mascot and sticking it to the club. A discussion broke out on a banter site after that. Co e on give me a break.

We’ve got a few things going on - laying staff off, lack of creativity, unsettled side, tinkering, huge signings and with Partey a new set up potentially. a huge talking point at the game was Luiz should have been sent of for stupidity. I’ve not posted a huge rant on that. I’Ve said him and Granit are our weak points which I full heartedly believe as both have a big mistake a game in them .
