You see what happens when you're direct and run at opposition defences? Funnily enough you create more chances. It's so satisfying to see that coming from the likes of Saka and ESR. I like many other Arsenal fans have been calling on ESR to get game time for god knows how long and it's finally happening. I really hope now that we don't sign someone to replace him in the team. We need options for creativity for sure but he's played 5 league games and been superb in all of them. If we sign a player like Auoar for example then that means ESR goes back to his bench and only makes appearances in league games which will be a massive kick in the nuts!
Fingers crossed we can tie down Miguel Azeez to a new contract because it expires in June and then in another 12 months we'll all get to see another starlet in the first XI. The kids oozes talent!

Has nobody noticed the 5 clean sheets in a row as well? First time since 2008-09 I believe
Not getting too over excited but it does seem to be coming together nicely, love the way that as energetic and creative as they are saka and ESR seem to always be winning the ball back as well, haven’t seen that in young players too often.

Just to keep our feet on the ground, we have had quite an easy run of fixtures - the next 6 will show us any improvement if any.

I'd like to see a creative midfielder signed who can play next to Partey or more advanced if needed.

Banbury it’s all about confidence, we seem to be building it gradually.
Yes the next 6 games will tell a lot, but at the moment I’m very happy.

He plays a lot of his football as a number 8 Olber you're right but this is Arsenal we're talking about. He can also play as a CAM and I'd imagine that's where we would see him playing infront of Xhaka and Partey. Xhaka isn't leaving and if he carries on playing like he is then he'll be Partey's partner next season too. I just don't want ESR to be knocked back now that he's forced his way in to the team.

Of course it is Mally boy, it’s good habits

Clean sheets - that’s good

PEA scoring - that’s good

Consistent in team selection- signs are there now

Southampton Man U Wolves Villa Leeds M City Leicester

If we pick up 12 points we have done well.

Positive momentum is powerful and the youngsters are showing the way.

I’d love to see a winger like Saka on both wings. I still don’t want PEA on the left wing as he just isn’t a winger. Newcastle were very naive to get caught out with such a high line.

Can you imagine a Saka on both wings and ESR in the centre. ESR showed the benefit of a player getting down the left and playing a decent cross in.

Enjoyed the second half and the quick movement and passing. Saka turns defence into attack so quickly and ESR is tireless. Partey made a difference with his quicker passing and commanding style which really benefits Granit. Still don’t think Granit is the solution but it will come down to priorities.

Hopefully PEA kicks on after this game and finds his mojo. I’d still rather him in the middle and allowed to drift left or inside left or middle rather than being isolated on the left because his wing play is terrible but he can still find space out wide to exploit.

Really happy with Cedric improvement, Captain Tierney, Partey, ESR, Holding, Mari Martinelli and Sake. Beginning to get a decent core in the first team and stability. Exciting and promising.

Sy, did you take an optimistic pill? WOW!

I’m SY4 100% PEA (I should get off his name now 🤣) is not the winger we need as he doesn’t support or compliment KT attacking style. This is why Xhaka is working so hard to block the space and the ball. PEA is caught ball watching and run back in the space later and still not tackling.

We haven’t seen much of Martinelli since his long injury but his work rate on and off the ball is better. And he was part of the front three or four including ESR that turned things around at Chelsea and brought back the optimism.

Funny enough Lacazette is better at pressing, coming back, holding the ball up and playing with his back to the goal. ESR enough mentioned him as the senior player who talks to him more on and off the field.

In my opinion Partey is already the creative CM to support the front four. Xhaka has been working really hard of late but going forward we may need someone else to sit cover the CB and stop the ball and runners. I’m thinking a Ndidi or Bissouma type.
