Obviously it's been talked to death but one thing I keep seeing on various sports news sites is how disgusted and annoyed the other 14 clubs are with us and the others. One quoted to saying arsenal are absolutely disgraceful.

Let's not kid ourselves here I bet if you asked the other 14 clubs owners to join that super league most would have jumped at the chance. I'm thankful for us fans it hadn't gone through. But the fa, uefa and other clubs acting like they aren't money orientated is just ridiculous. Pull the other one!

I totally agree with that D, this time last year Karen Brady wanted the season to be null and void, why because West Ham were in danger of being relegated if the season resumed, would Karen Brady want this season null and void if football was suspended for 3 months?

Ťhe people I most admire are those who are able to rise above self interest and do the right thing even when it's not always in thier own personal interests to do so.

I am sure the vast majority of those 14 totally disgusted premier league clubs if offered the chance would vote in favour of a 5 year relegation amnesty for all existing premier clubs, equally important am sure there would be very small minority who would do the right thing and vote against such a proposal because they genuinely believe in fairness.

Also everyone banging on about the fairness of the current system, with relegation and promotion, and that anyone can win the Champions League etc is an absolute croc. Football is already split, and anyone who doesn’t believe that should look at who has won the Premier League, Spanish League, Italian league, German league and especially the Champions League since 2000, virtually a clean sweep for those 12 clubs and BM and Dortmund in Germany. ( except Spurs who contribute nil point! ) So yes, pat yourself on the back of you think the system works because Leicester won that single Premier league, or if West Ham do qualify for the Champions league, but of course both will just be fodder in the actual CL and could never win it. How can i say that, well I just look at statistics and Leicester’s last foray. Ironically the competition with a better spread of winners, not dominated by just the bigger clubs, is the poor mans Europa League, who most would turn their nose up for, but yet can at least can show teams away from the top tier, like Seville, as multiple winners.

But it is possible for others to win and most important the mighty to fall with our current system Epping mate.

The exhibition Theatre league wanted to take away both possibilities.

That’s a good post Epping. And exactly what I was trying to stress some days ago.

Did these well oiled machines really wanted to start this ESL without doing the necessary PR work or were they sending a threat to UEFA re the new CL format starting 2024 in needing a greater slice of the cake.
