So let`s say I`m almost there with sacking MA Who is the outstanding candidate to take over in six weeks? I said Rodgers - think he`s at Leicester for long term and Allegri but he`s said no before and ED02 says he wouldn`t come due to our management structure and reading about him definitely safety first . So who? And why to finally convince me to pull the trigger COYG.

Under Mikel what is going to suddenly change and make us play football than is both good to watch and effective at both ends of the pitch, what is it about Mikels style that is suddenly going to click with the players and everything Mikel insists on will suddenly turn around and start working mate?

I don't know who we could get but in my opinion if a mechanic had my car for 18 months and it was actually performing worse now then when I took my motor to them 18 months ago, I would definitely try a different mechanic 😀

No one wants to see us changing managers every 18 months but equally no one wants to see us mid table.

It takes most clubs a few goes at finding the right manager for them and it is going to take us at least 3 goes before we find the right man to turn us around possibly it will take 4 or 5 goes who knows but it will happen sooner or later, let's hope 3rd time lucky for The Arsenal.

I like Nagelsmann and Gasperini, but it all depends on who is willing to come. Maybe we should push the boat out and spend our dosh on a manager rather than players.

{Ed077's Note - there are a lot of young managers with different outlooks in bundesliga. Also La Liga and Ligue 1 has a fair few managers doing really good with their teams despite different constraints and "handicaps"}

I think we're stuck with him- if we win the EL then he'll keep his job, if he doesn't then we'll have no European football next season and I doubt any top managers would be interested in the job.

{Ed077's Note - Everton did get Carlo Ancelotti without European Footy so its not completely impossible to attract a good manager in even if you miss out on European footy all together.}

Get Nuno in from Wolves.

We can’t be afraid of our own shadow. I think a change at the end of the season is best to give the manager a full window to assess and make changes

I don’t wish Mikel anything but a happy life - I have no problems with him at all but this job just came to quick for him

Hope he goes out with a trophy 🏆.

We definitely need a man with passion desire and the ability to restore Arsenal football club to its former glory.

Klopp didn't join Liverpool because of what they were but because of what they once were and had all the potential in the world to be again.

Josh will most likely give us a new manager this summer to try and pacify us and turn our attentions away from the club and into the team.

It’s ok saying about foreign managers but It’s the PL is a different ball game even more so coming to a bang average team . Ancelotti went to Chelsea who had a much better squad than our current one .

Nagelsman was the hot ticket, and still my choice, although I think his star may have fallen slightly this season as despite having ample resources, he still can’t quite break the Munich dominance. For me it’s anyone who will change the way we play, not massively, ie we don’t need big Sam, but someone who will want to get the ball up the pitch quicker and with purpose, and who will use our youngsters to play a high tempo game. If we pick another manager who insists on playing slowly out from the back then I would probably stick with MA, although Potter also insists Brighton play out from the back, and I think they do it far far better than us, and with substantially less quality and resources, so there may be better options than MA even if we play the same way?

{Ed002's Note - Nuno Espirito Santo was offered to Edu by Jorge Mendes.}

As great as Nuno has done with Wolves, the football is genuinely dreadful to watch. I would love to see Bielsa rock up personally, it would be great fun at least. Failing that I really don't have a clue.

You are very likely right Ed077 with the variety of good upcoming managers in Germany, France etc but living in NZ these days I find it hard enough to find the time to watch anyone but Arsenal these days, and even then it's a struggle!

{Ed077's Note - what is the general view of the Arsenal supporters on Graham Potter? Ed001 really likes his work and so do I😁

Let’s make it a double - him and Bissouma

I’d take that - bring Freddie back as number 2 as a bonus.

{Ed077's Note - leave Bissouma for Man Utd. You can have Fred instead😜🤣

Said before on here I am a fan of Potter Ed. OK so not the big name we think we deserve, but the football he is getting out of Brighton is very impressive. They play out from the back, and in about 5 minutes they would have managed to get the ball up the pitch and on the attack more than we would in an entire half. Whether he could handle the ego, s of players at a bigger club I am not sure. I am a massive fan of Quique Setien but it just didn’t work for him at Barcelona, again in part because the players didn’t like his abrasive style, so maybe some managers are just destined to get the best out of smaller clubs?
