ITV News understands an official announcement of a £1.8bn takeover attempt of the north London club could come soon.

Watch this space. Ornstein reckons it's going nowhere though.

It's going to be an interesting couple of months. The current owners are always going to say the club isn't for sale as saying it was would devalue it.

It's the closest thing we've had so far so it's can't be bad news that's for sure

The make pretend league was going to be for a fixed term 23 year contract, can Uafa not get all clubs who wish to play in the champions league and Europe league next season or at any point in the next 25 years to sign a contract stating they will not to participate in any competition without first grtting the agreement of both Uafa and the government of their country before hand.

Stan won't wait 25 years to get what he wants I'm sure.

As I understood it Gunner, there's already a clause which said before clubs could join any other competition they would have to have it approved by UEFA First, and the clubs ignored it.

The bid might happen but I’m hugely confident it will be put in the bin.

Thanks for the answer Jim mate.

To my mind Uafa strengthing it's rules and penalties for breaches of contract wouid be the way forward and I think Chelsea and City owners would back it publicly so as to reinforce it's apologies to their supporters, which would in turn heap more pressure on the major rebel clubs.

I don't think it's wise to let these owners have time to recover from last amd keeping the pressure on while their on the back foot is the best strategy.
