Saliba wants to come back next season and fight for his place as some sits are suggesting, also arsenal want to reward him with a new contract as he’s been doing so well, to be honest I think he walks in the team ahead of 50m Ben white oh sorry Benjamin white my bad.

There is more chance of Hartlepool winning the premier league than Saliba ever playing for Arsenal in my opinion, that ship has sailed.

He's done really really well in France and he will have very good options come next summer he's one of Europe's top young talents, there has been bad blood between him and those running Arsenal and while those running the club aren't exactly the forgiving and forgetting type Saliba himself has absolutely no need whatsoever of their forgiveness as he will have so many good offers from clubs who can offer him the chance to compete for and possibly win the games top prizes as well as earn top money.

Be honest beyond wishful thinking and rose coloured Arsenal glasses why would he want to come back to an uneasy atmosphere when his future is so bright wherever he goes?

Well he is contracted to us so if we want him back he doesn’t have much choice. However assuming a few larger clubs want him, I assume we will cash in to put the money towards a forward.

He is probably our most valuable asset to sell right now and we need to generate funds. I'd imagine he will be sold for a significant fee to aid our summer transfer signings.

didn't he actually say in a recent interview that when he came to arsenal he thought he would walk straight in and be the main man and when he didn't it was a slap in the face but that taught him a few lessons. I actually think he may have matured a bit and that poss the big money move went to his head and that why he was farmed out.

There is every opportunity for him to come back to Arsenal and I think Arteta will welcome him back. I'm not so sure about Guendouzi tho. not sure he is a good personality to have around the club.

Gunner62 his contract and I think he’s got something to prove so I think he will come back if he doesn’t get in the team next season he will go but I’ve watched a few games he’s played in and he walks into our team ahead of Ben white.

It will be managers discretion at the end of the day. As much as I want to see him at least make 1 appearance in an Arsenal shirt, I just feel that we'll be forced to part with him to generate funds.

We all know that we need to raise money from somewhere and if he gets an offer of guaranteed 1st team football then I'm sure he'll want to take it, just like we will.

Personally, the idea of a back 3 (with 3 ball playing cb's who can step out from the back) is perfect for us. However, Tomiyasu has brought so much stability to our back line and he isn't a wing back.

Lets see what happens but Ed002 has mentioned before that the player wants out and his value and definitely increased since going out on loan. 40m?

The thing is he walks into a lot of teams VM and he doesn't have bad history with any other club so with there likely to be lots of options available to him both in the premier league and in Europe, why would he want to chose the only one where there would be an uncomfortable atmosphere when he would get the red carpet treatment everywhere else? Makes no sense to me.
As for the contract, it puts Arsenal in a good position regarding the fee we can get but doesn't hold either player or club to working together, as plenty of players have shown us in the past, if they want out they get what they want one way or another, and of course as these Arsenal owners have shown with Auba and Ozil, THEY HAVE VAYS OF MAKING YOU LEAVE, if they so choose do so.

I'm really not expecting Hartlepool to win the prem, but if they do I may have to reassess my opinion on Saliba and Arsenal ????? we shall see ?.

Saliba has been quite vocal about being happy in Marseilles and about his short time at Arsenal and I would imagine Guendouzi would have had some input as well. I don't think he will want to play for us, as Ed has intimated. We need players who want to be part of our journey, not ones who have to be dragged back here.
My concern is there are so many disgruntled ex-players who could persuade their teammates not to join us.

No one knows exactly why Saliba was ostracised Sally but obviously either the club or Mikel saw it fit to do so, Torreria is a mystery too while obviously Mesut refused to take a pay cut and never even made the squad after that decision, Auba has a history of falling out with his employers but we don't actually know what went on to bring about his Arsenal exit as for Guendozie well he seemed to work well with Emery and now again at Marseilles but struggled under Mikel and in Austria.

Add to these players experiences at Arsenal you've got the way Gunnersuarus and the 55 members of staff were treated by the club and how the club were right at the forefront and main instigators of the European breakaway league without a thought about taking the club away from its fans.

I think any potential new signing would be pretty naive not to at least consider what's gone on before between those in power at the club and every one else whose experienced the way they do things first hand Sally.

I'm not sure he would walk into the team ahead of White. Saliba is obviously a good player but Ligue 1 is a farmers league.

I’ve not been impressed with white, as a cb myself I always watch defenders, and the amount of times Gabriel covers white and gets him out of trouble is amazing.
