Saliba is going to be another Tony Adams. Big boots to fill but, I honestly think he is going to be world class.

Think he will see why he was loaned out after tonights game. He needed that time away to develop before facing the rigours of the Prem.

It will be interesting to see if Arteta will drop White for Saliba when Tommy is back at rb, as he was his £50m signing.

White dealt with Zaha OK but can't help feeling like Tomiyasu and Saliba are the better players. White is really versatile though so I think he'll still be an important player for us - just perhaps not when everyone is fit and we need our strongest XI.

{Ed014's Note - on not convinced by White, his positioning isn’t great and he then gets caught out for pace.

His passing isn’t that great either. Never a 50 million pound player but as back up he’ll be ok.

Yeah crossfield passing from White put us under way too much pressure. You can see what he tries to do but it was sloppy. Not sure you can say he's still that young anymore either. Saliba is what, 3 years younger? And far calmer on the ball.

White did amazingly well against Zaha in number 2 position. I was more worried by Gabriel, d defender. He really looked shaky and also looked shaky in pre season.

Now I am even confused who should partner Saliba?

Odegaard was completely out of the game yesterday.

Aside Odegaard and Gabriel, I really enjoyed the game and more of it please.

Arteta said again we are looking to complete our planned transfers in the next weeks. So two or one more incomings.

The excitement is so great ?.

Agree Ed White has too many 6 out of 10’s to his game, back up ok but not a starter and after having a 72 million pound Pepe on the bench Arteta won’t be worried about White sitting there either.
