I'm seeing a lot of rumours regarding Sterling but I'm in two minds. In the current set up, would he go central in an almost Ramsey style 'arrive in the box at the right time' type of role? He seems a bit physically lightweight for a no.9. If, and it's a big if, Guardiola would do a Lacazette swap (+ cash?) , then that could sway me overall.

I think the only reason we signed Fabio Vieira is so that we can reintroduce the 'Vieira' chant particularly as Portugal rhymes with Senegal.

@ SY4 - Tierney is a good shout and would also get my vote. In last season's doom and gloom, he shone pretty brightly. Great attitude.

We've all read about the awful start and now a recovery albeit early days, but I don't have a crystal ball. But I think we need a real captain out there - I like Aubameyang but he's no leader. Yes, he has experience but he offers no options as a captain when the chips are down. We should look elsewhere because Arteta will need all the help he can get, someone young and very hungry.
Note - Tony Adams was just 21 when he was made captain and held that status for 14 years.

Easy choice - Tierney

It’s difficult when we recruit young talent as leadership comes with age more often than not but I think Tierney has the attitude, voice, caps and ability to get an attack moving forward like big Tony used to just by getting it done himself and leading the way. He’s humble. Only issue is injuries but still think he’s the right guy.

I think that the RH mid/ winger position is an area we have not exploited well. Despite his great engine and runs, I've never seen Ramsey take a player on. I don't know why we don't give Welbeck a run out there. I know we are not exactly flush with forwards but surely that would give Giroud / Walcott more service with his pace and power.

Don't like to see players injured but to be honest Ramsey being injuired may be a blessing in disguise he was way off form anyway. Hopefully Wenger will balance the side better and use Campbell wide right, a more naturel position for him and he is in much better form.
