Ed,

Looks like your boy Lukaku has put himself in shop window tonight? :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - a snip at £28m dags,, :)

19 Feb 2015 21:30:52
I'm sure he has upset you Toffee's, assuming his words were not taken out of context, but if he knuckles down and plays his football, the kid is a massive talent and a major plus for Everton.

watch this space, I guess.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its the space between his ears that im worried about dags..

19 Feb 2015 22:34:27
Thing is Ed,

He was at a "big club", they let him go for whatever reason.

Let's face it, you know he will leave, players like him normally do (unloyal), I can't think of a better team to "learn the ropes" until his dream move happens, than Everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i would hate to think of us as a stepping stone for players who want to better themselves dags...i find that quite offensive mate..

19 Feb 2015 22:58:29
Sorry Ed,

Didnt mean it as it come across, honest.

The point I was trying to make is, the guy is going to leave.

We have had it over the years many times.
Hleb, Henry, Fabregas, Clichy, Adebayor, to name but a few.

Didn't mean to regard Everton as a stepping stone.
Was just pointing out that when unloyal players want to leave, they generally do, regardless of who they are playing for at the time.

No offence meant Ed, honest.
Should have worded my original post better.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its not what you said dags, it was someting that came out after lukaku said what he did...chillax mate.were all good..

19 Feb 2015 23:14:30
I'm curious now Ed lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it was on another web site dags, it had been levelled that everton were seen as a stepping stone for players like lukaku, mirallas and Mcarthy to go on to better things with a more ambitious club, the fact is that there may be more than a grain of truth in it, and it hit a raw nerve..thats all mate..nothing to do with what you said..

I'm offended by everything you've said dags :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2015 00:03:43
Fair play Ed.

337, you are only offended because you eat my dust in the jokes department lol.

Speaking of jokes.
My wife lent over the kitchen table and said to me "Smack that bottom, smack it hard".

I did, but the tomato ketchup still wouldn't come out.

20 Feb 2015 10:17:49
I think most clubs if not contending for major honours are stepping stone clubs.

if arsenal did not attain the yearly 4th place trophy, we would be bleeding players.

playing in top competitions and earning craploads is their only motivation. loyalty is but for a few.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2015 11:21:32
I think the problem is the agents, look at what happened at Dortmund, those guys that left, where hard core Dortmund locals, or so we thought. Having said that Reus and gotze both have the same agent so I guess the players are partly accountable for their actions. None the less, I think it is agents that see clubs as stepping stones more so than the players

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2015 14:22:43
Totally agree Saint.

The agents look for moves so they can get their commission.

I can see that he scored a hatrick tonight but against a bunch of kids, i mean exactly how old were these 'youngboys?'

Chris (Redman)

Re your earlier post.

You lost all credibility as soon as you said Smalling, lol.

PS, I know you and Honey Badger have taken offence (all good banter), by me saying only De Gea and Rooney would get into our team.

But let me explain.
Luke Shaw, good defender.
Daley Blind, good defender.
Mata, brilliant no 10.
Di Maria, World Class.
Falcao, World Class?.

The above, for example are top drawer but I wouldn't have them in an Arsenal shirt purely because they are not being utilised properly by Luis Van plastic face.

His formation of 3-5-2 with wing backs or whatever they are called is totally confusing.

Even the Utd players have struggled with it.

Your main goal threat, Rooney, is played in midfield to accommodate a £300,000 per week striker who couldn't score a goal even if he was playing against an under-11 team.

Mata is played out wide but is a number 10 (we have the same problem with Ozil).

RVP? Well, he is just RVP.

So, I'm not blaming the players, per se, just LVG's formational bafflement and insistency with sticking to 3-5-2.

Pps, Our boy Wenger is the same mate, honest.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Agree with you Dags, except I dunno if I'd class Blind as a defender anymore. Under the current system, Rooney isn't impressing either though so I wouldn't have him because he isn't a Midfielder, he's a goalscorer who isn't currently scoring enough goals if we are judging on current merit.

De Gea goes without saying, I'd have him any day.

You make a good point though Dags, even though Man U were a title winning team a couple of seasons ago and they have some of the best athletes in world football (Di Maria, Falcao etc), I wouldn't have many of their players based on recent form.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2015 14:21:08
I like this mate. Why don't we take this to the teams page? Both put our combined X18 including subs up and reasons for it?

I'll leave the rules up to u. Style, form formation etc.

I welcome u all to have a pop at this. At the end I'd like to u answer one thing, how far could this combined team go? It might open both our eyes to a few things or maybe give confidence to doubters.

19 Feb 2015 15:26:45
Absolutely perfectgoal.

Sounds like a good idea Chris.
Will have a look.

19 Feb 2015 17:18:21
I've posted my combined team mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we know.....lol..

19 Feb 2015 17:39:08
Ed025,

That team truly is comedy genius, Dags needs to hand his crown out right now. Lol.

Herrera ahead of both Cazorla and Ozil, you couldn't believe it unless you'd seen it.

And all of a sudden it's not on players form. Hilarious.

You need to give your wee head a shake breadvan. Great name from the past there fella. ;-)

Whatever they're smoking in that suburb outside Manchester called Cambridge is truly quality stuff!

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed025's Note - you could,nt make it up red dog.. :)

19 Feb 2015 17:55:04
Chris,

Seriously?

Mate, the Glazers should sack LVG and make you manager.

You should have just put Man Utd's first 11 than put 5 Arsenal players on bench, lol.

You are such a lad :-)

Agree0 Disagree1

19 Feb 2015 18:07:27
Ahhh bless ya red, can always rely on u to bring down what is a very good debate amongst adults with your bitterness and maturity.

Cambridge Is lovely mate u should visit, so is the fact I'm from cambridge and support United a problem? hmmmm. Even more food for thought hey non north Londoners?

I stand by my team if u read it I say even off form I wouldn't change much. Maybe cazorla.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2015 18:22:29
Dags off form a team containing no arsenal players have conceded less than u, beat u in your own patch and is 2 places above u, I would suggest your rose tinted glasses are severely clouding your judgement along with ed25.

all this with a manager that brings great comedy value and seemingly struggling.

Oh yeh red, Ozil? Really? u mean the bloke that most would drop when all fit? The bloke other than Wilshire that causes such debate? The guy who scored against spurs then may as well been subbed off? He is to lightweight. So I'm guessing you would have him in? Where? Walcott in form is performing better, and u would obviously have Cazorla in over Herrera? Where u putting him LB? Mind u he would probably be as effective there as Gibbs or Monreal.

Agree0 Disagree1

19 Feb 2015 18:58:18
Chris,

Did you see my team?

Seriously, I think its well balanced.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - blow your own trumpet why dont you..

19 Feb 2015 19:18:54
Oh sorry there Chris I thought you had to come over all bitter and twisted and come up with daft names, you know, like you did last time out.

Like shelling peas fella. Knock ya self out. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2015 19:35:05
Like last time Lol.
Your bitterness really does run deep fella. The fact u felt the need to add nothing worthy but snidey comments to a post that was light hearted and interesting is enlightening.

Don't worry fella you will get all this one day. Till then why don't u go back to ignoring my posts while prob fuming with bitterness at them lol?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2015 19:44:12
Lol dags shocking

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2015 19:40:00
c'mon Ed,

its a good team.

In the nature of sportsmanship, I had to throw a few Utd players in mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - no such thing as sportsmanship dags...graham souness once said "show me a good loser...and ill show you a loser"...horrible man but a wise one..

19 Feb 2015 20:48:48
Fella do you think at some point in your "banter" career you may start to use stuff you think up yourself rather than all the little gems that have been used on you over the years.

Come on, buck up, it really isn't that difficult, look how many times you get done with it and here you are on the Arsenal page getting sucked into it all over again.

Chin up my little poppet you'll get there. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - lets not make these things personal guys, its a banter site and all are welcome unless it gets nasty...just enjoy it fellas.. :)

19 Feb 2015 21:06:33
I do ed, the lad got bent out of shape a few weeks back after getting caught out and hasn't had the back wheels to simply say yep I got caught at my own game.

Then he likes to bring his age old bitterness rubbish into it. I have no probs with anyone giving it, but if you're going to dish it ed then unlike Chris you have to take it and then man up when you get it wrong.

Like you said, it's banter. I just played his game and he didn't like it. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - your both good posters red dog, and i will have the odd argument, but we dont want it to deteriorate into a scenario where posters from other teams dont take part mate..

19 Feb 2015 21:53:15
Lol, Now now dog!

I agree ed it gets a little bit heated at times with me and red, I'll leave mate (rest assured I won't come back lol).

Only popped over to gauge a reaction to the draw saw the 2 player comment and thought it worthy of discussion.

Apologies red if u have took any offense personally, not my intent at all neither have I with u mate, and anyone else the same.

Peace out guys.

CTR

P.s Smalling 4 England captain, come on ed u know it makes sense mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - nothing wrong with a good debate chris, and for me your always welcome mate....but now i have seen that smalling comment i fear for your sanity,, :)

19 Feb 2015 22:48:38
Ed,

Was it me or you who started it by saying only DDG and Rooney will get into an Arsenal shirt?

You I think lol.

Red dog and Chris, you are both top boys, and very very very good posters.

Keep posting but play nice :-) :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it was me dags...but maybe it was a bit unfair..im saying only de gea now mate.. :)

19 Feb 2015 23:18:45
Stick Rooney on Arsenal bench :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

See, yet again I leave you lot for less than a day and you start arguing! That's it you're all grounded!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - 200 lines each....and i dont mean coke.. :)

These lot are hypo enough without class A drugs, can you imagine dags jokes? And some of the other negative posters on a downer? It doesn't bare thinking about

I know arsenal fans are moaning about the Manchester United game being played on a Monday night. The good thing about it is that if we had played on the Saturday it would have been our third game in 6 days.It means that the players get any extra few days recovery time.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

19 Feb 2015 13:53:26
I think Monday is perfect.

It gives us a good rest after the QPR game and plenty of time to recover before we play West Ham.
