Eden,
I would have had a whipround and paid it myself to see him at Emirates.

Saints have done a fantastic bit of business.

I totally agree, I was actually shocked when I saw! I would hope for a world class striker, but if none comes in I would take him in a heartbeat! I remember when we signed welbeck a lot of people said it's fine even if he doesn't work out he's English and will hold his value if he needs to be moved on. That could easily be said for Austin. If they sold him tomorrow I expect they would easily double their money! Where were Newcastle etc and the bidding war I'm astounded! :p I don't own a house, but I'm tempted to mortgage my parents' and put it all on him being a success! :)

4 million is a steal, however the reported £110,000 per week wages are not and for that reason i am glad we didn't move for him.

Sorry Dags i know you love him and i do rate him myself, but as a club we pay far to many averages players to well and then we don't compete with the real world class players on the top top wages.

Does anyone get the feeling not is all it seems with Sanchez. Hope I'm wrong but I have the feeling AS will miss a few more games

Le Coq back in training next week as well as DW.

I think AW has learnt his lesson where Sanchez is concerned.

He doesn't rush him back because in the long run he will miss 8 games instead of 4.

You're wrong again mate, same as when you said Wenger wouldn't buy anyone this window. ;-)

Sanchez has been back in full training, as the pics have shown, for well over a week, Coquelin was in full training with the boys today and Welbeck will be next week.

Like Dags said, easing him back in. Zero to worry about.

Le Coq is back training today, check out the pics on official site
Is it me, or does he look a bit porky.

Elneny? How wrong Banbury was is yet to be seen Red, can't help but think there's a lot of over excitement about a player who to me is this January's Kallstrom/ Bielik token signing.
Hopefully I'm wrong as always of course :-)

21 Jan 2016 22:59:24
G62,
Elneny will be a huge hit.
Trust me mate.

Hope so Dags and let's face it I hadnt heard of Kante before this season so you could be right mate because he's been a brilliant signing for 5m
Maybe next summer £5 million will become the new £80 million and no one will be interested in Ranaldo Messi or Bale with all premier league clubs doing their shopping in the Scottish 2nd division and conference north :-)

22 Jan 2016 06:30:12
I believe Wenger wants to ease Sanchez back in slowly and hence is paving the way for him to be on the bench and only used if necessary. He will continue his rehab in training, to build up his fitness and resilience to further injury. Gone are the days when we throw players straight back in after injury, only for the them to suffer further injury. I do not think you will se Sanchez back in the starting line up for a week or two. In respect of Coquelin and Welbeck, I believe it will be at least 2 to 3 weeks before they return to the team. After which we only have Wilshere and Cazorla to return. I am concerned at the length of time Wilshere has been out, wth his injury, I hope all is well.

Haha, wrong is wrong 62, the name is irrelevant. I joke mate, like you say we'll see whether he's any good later but I'm sure he's going to be fine.

I am certain we won't make another signing though. :-)

22 Jan 2016 14:09:03
Fair play Red mate and you are 100% right of course wrong is wrong :-)
I wonder If that same rule will apply to Arsene come seasons end if our lack of activity in the summer and January windows cost us the league title or will it be the naughty stadiums fault again :-)

BT sport have just announced the next list of tv matches, and they have moved the Everton away game to Saturday lunchtime when we are away to Barcelona on the Wednesday night. This is stupid as it can effect our title chances. The last time this happened we played Napoli away on a Wednesday and we lost 6-3 at man city on Saturday lunchtime. They have done the same with the sp*ds game and moved that to Saturday lunchtime after we have a Wednesday game before it.

Granit Xhaka has been quoted in an interview stating that he's already spoken to Coquelin about wanting the No 34 kit number should he join Arsenal. Seems promising to me.

Top top player.
Possible signing to replace Cazorla, although he might be classed as a defensive Midfielder.

the reported broadcasting deal is 5.14bn. Is that shared equally between all the clubs (257 million each) or does the money get mixed up in a different way?

21 Jan 2016 10:45:28
If the clubs involved could 'slip' a few thousand pounds to me so I can pay for my holiday, that would be appreciated.

Or should I have a quiet word with FIFA?
(Did I really just say that? ) :-)

I think all 20 Prem clubs will get £81m each, plus bonuses for where they finish in the table.

Supporters of all the clubs will get an extra spoonful of sugar in their half time cuppa, free of charge.

Really funny Arsenal rumours today. Apparently we are 'eyeing' (whatever that means) Ighalo. 'Weighing' in for a bid for Nolito. Xhaka wants to play at a 'top, top' club. Thus the press assume 'top, top' translates as Arsenal. Also for some reason Arsenal have dispatched Boa Morte to 'lure' in Guedes (sounds rather sinister to me. Also why don't Arsenal send out a scout? Boa Morte works for Sporting Lisbon as a youth coach.

At least we aren't connected with Benzema or Higuin. On the other hand some of the comedy twitter stories were hilarious. Please bring back ed002 the press are firing scatter guns. As well as copying and pasting stories with different names in them.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Jan 2016 14:44:04
It's just part and parcel of every transfer window nowadays, especially where the British press are concerned. Ed002 may not come back, but telling him the press are firing scatter guns won't make him return. I'm pretty sure the worst part of Ed002's volunteering on this site was having to reply to the same questions every day from the same people everytime they saw the scatters and believed the headlines haha.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - all of us hate the repeat questions mate, we can end up deleting 30-40 posts asking the exact same thing, let alone the numbers we actually post. On a busy day that can be 5 or 6 editors deleting that many each.}

21 Jan 2016 17:24:09
Agreed. It is partly due to press stories. Although does seem to have been worse this year. Props to the eds for putting so much work in. It is a shame that Arsenal fans have caused offense to hard working eds. Reminds me of the Wenger and Stoke incident. I enjoy this site, because it is a more reliable Arsenal rumours resource. Anyway I am pretty confident we can we the league this year, which is awesome.

21 Jan 2016 22:12:37
I think what pushed ed002 over was the fact he was being told that his information was either nonsense re Wenger leaving or plagiarism of twitter re football finances.
In all honesty i was shocked he lasted as long as he did seeing as he's not paid for this so to get abused for it is definitely not on in my opinion.
