so apparently city can buy cavani for 60m. you know what, we should make that bid! he's such a class striker and a class striker can make a massive difference. if we really have about 70m to use, a lot of dead wood leaving and amorebieta waiting for us to sign him for free - why not? it should leave us money to buy a dm and a gk. I fully agree with you ed and you can say the same for most people you pass on the street and probably to yourself too. i'm happy I don't have to think about our finances, instead I want to see good players playing for the club. {Ed027's Note - I'm involved with accounts and finance, so thats what i'm aiming for, but i see what you mean.

The way City is funded ruins the league for well run clubs. It is not actually fair or right.
I could win the Sun Fantasy Football Eague if everyone had one set of rules and I could spend what I like while drive prices up.

Been a while since last post. Theo has gotten injured on international duty I see. The build up to who we are going to sign is building nicely though I feel at this point speculation is pointless as no transfer targets will be approached till a summer budget is decided and that won't happen till our fate about CL football is known. The one certainty I am glad to say is more deadwood will go as contracts are up so some big earners will leave the wage bill.
I still feel the likely departure/job change for Steve Bould is inevitable am sorry to say, he wants more input and freedom to work with the players. Wenger still wants total control. We need to win every game to stand a chance of CL football next season or hope Bale gets injured. Chelsea seem to be coming good at the mo the am sure another Benitez rant is just days away.
To the guy who posted about our under 21 being rubbish, go watch a next gen match please we have some real talent in the youth setup, some I feel already capable of first team places in the squad currently blocked by deadwood.

I know that there have been injurys but still?
There are only 2 players in the first team that has gone forward this year in my opinion Jenk and Gibbs. opinions?

So a top four finish maybe this season, then what?there is no long term plan at Arsenal, its just smoke and mirrors again, the amount of money needed to win titles, cups and european comptitions will not be invested, FFP, will see to that, Wenger has missed the boat on the times when big money could be spent, 6 to 8 teams better then us in the CL, 4 better then us so far in the EPL, knocked out of both domestic cups, I fear season 9 and no trophies is around the corner, and still no reduction in ticket prices. Red Mist.

Think our squad could do with yaya toure as a dm
his sheer strength and ability would be great for us he can also play in other positions not just dm, Still need more signings come summer I belive we will sign at least 4
maybe 5 new players here is who I would like to come in

these are players who I think could point us in the right direction and get us winning silverware again

went to under 10s soccer tournament in dublin a couple of weeks ago, my sisters boy was playing in it.
i thought it was alarming the amount of arsenal kits that were on show.
there was utd, city, chelsea. liverpool and even a couple of spurs tops on show.
i think there was only 2 arsenal shirts on show.
