Gabriel or Cahill? I'm not sure he'd be an upgrade, but then again we don't play Gabriel either so maybe the two of them could go for a game of golf most match days.

Be a hard job keeping towns folk and thier pitch folks at bay if we allowed Spurs or Leicester to finish above us Perfect mate, we might get away with city and people talking up second place as progress but 3rd or worse? Unthinkable! Double surely! :-)

Well let's hope the 'new signings' I mean the return of the sick room gives us a run in like last year! If we run in like that again we will win the league. But where we are is a crime! Should be at least 4points clear, just worried we are comfy in forth lol.

I myself can't believe the hype Chris! I didn't think he was that good when he had a good couple of years in Italy. Funny how a constant media hype storm can get people thinking this and that player are any good.

A couple years back he was pretty impressive for Milan, had lost his way a little with injuries but has started getting back to his old self at São Paulo

On loan for the rest of the season wouldn't of been a bad shout.

If we bring in some cover for Olly who doesn't work out atleast we did our best, if we do nothing and Olly gets injured or loses form and we go into meltdown down again the same old questions will be asked yet again.
Pato or Austen would have at very least given us options this time and no one can say they weren't available or beyond our financial limits.
Why we don't give ourselves the very best chance each season I will never understand.

As far as I know, he was heading for Barca, who wanted him on loan until the end of the season and than pay the £13.6m release clause during the Summer.

Celta have rejected this, so the deal has collapsed (Allegedly) .

I would be astounded if we stumped up any cash for him. He is already 29, so what he would offer that we don't already get from Olly i just don't get, aprt for another wage in 2 years time with a player too old for the premiership, and on too much money to sell on. Any links in the press to us must surely be lazy journolism, someone back me up please!
