Jovetic is Man-City bound am afraid, wynama is Manchester United bound so not so realistic! {Ed002's Note - In addition to Manchester City and Arsenal, there is strong interest in Jovetic from Juventus.}

Could the premier league fair play rules of no loss greater than 103 million over the next 3 years at last help Arsenal?

KJ {Ed002's Note - No.}

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Abramovic said something along the lines of yes there should be a cap on expenditure but if a club struggles then the owner should be allowed to pay the difference - which is literally no different than what happens right now. FFP won't help arsenal at all.

Anyone else notice that Patrick Vieira was at the Netherlands v Italy match yesterday? Ed, do you know if he was just there to enjoy the game or if he was scouting for City? If so, any clue which players they're looking at? {Ed013's Note - Probably both}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Who cares? What has that to do with arsenal?

Agree23 Disagree0

Ive managed to dislike him. always saying negative comments about our club in the media. for a player who won soo much here, for him to belittle the club. is nothing short of disrespectful.

guys like him have no moral standing or emotional value.

Agree1 Disagree10

^^He has an opionion on the way Arsenal is run and has the right too. Bit like us lot who post on this site including your good self.

Agree1 Disagree0

Well I understand he has an opinion. But we don't go around saying that manchester city is the next big thing and arsenal will struggle to be good

Agree1 Disagree0

One thing I can't stand is fans who think badly of people who have something critical to say about the club. I don't mind if you think badly of some random fan of another team who has a dim view of our club which is unjustified and so you think they're a 'person' - but I think when someone captained our team, gave everything, won a lot, has been there and done that and can look back with an insider's knowledge of the club and the sport, and give what he believes to be honest thoughts, that doesn't make them someone of no moral standing - it just makes you far too precious!

I hold absolutely nothing against Robson, Adams or Vieira for anything they say about the club - they are probably embarrassed at the performances some of our boys put in and would never have stood for it never even mind got away with it back in the day. If you are not prepared to take criticism and feedback then you will get nowhere in life, simple as. And actually what this club has needed for a while now is a good kick up the butt, sadly it has only come in the form of the truly disappointed ex players who will love this club til death rather than anyone with any real ability to change things. It is one of the saddest feelings in the world to look back at something you leave behind and feel that is has declined since your departure.

Metal Gooner

Agree2 Disagree1

Robson, Adams and Vierra are only 'truly' when it suits them - Robson was a talented but uncommitted player who basically found his niche in footballl - on the outside pi**ing in. Adams was great as a player and has gone steadily downhill as a person since - he has little status nowadays and a lot of bitterness. Vierra has worked steadily against AFC - the only quality Man City were interested in was his ability to attract players in- Toure, Clichy, Adebayor, Nasri and a few others from his previous clubs and Internationals. Never let him back through the doors!!

I know it's a must win game against Sunderland at the weekend but I'm of the opinion we rest Wilshere and Walcott and maybe bring them on second half if we have to. Seeing as we basically rely on them for so much of our attacks I wouldn't want to see them burn out.
Any news on rosicky coming back to fitness or perhaps gnabry/eisfeld being introduced to the first team? Has Bendtner been let go by juventus and is gervinho in line for recall?

We've often talked about those two coming into the first team but they are not listed on our web site as first team players, I know they've played in the Capitol One cup but maybe Ed knows, do they have to be listed in the squad pre season to allow them to play in the EPL?

Stoner

Agree0 Disagree0

They don't have to be registered for the league because they are under 21 so they can come into the squad anytime if needed.

Rosicky played for the Czech Republic the other night although he had to leave the field of play temporarily to find a Khazi because he had the runs.

Howedes
Capoue
Arda Turan

Three players I would love to see at Arsenal.
All three are tailor made for this league and I doubt they arw out of reach financially.

Have Podolski play almost exclusively as a striker, play Turan on the left, Wilshere no10, Capoue and one of Arteta, Diaby and Ramsey to sit behind Wilshere in the two infront of the defence.

Looks like we will be missing walcott, koscielny and ramsay thru injury this weekend and maybe vermaelen. Walcott went straight down the tunnel when he went off and was in a lot of discomfort after the game. Koscielny was taken off with a calf injury and ramsay got a calf injury in training. This always happens on international weeks.

Shame it wasn't the Blackburn game this weekend.

I just don't see it with all the fuss about neymar. i've seen all the skill and tricks and I know he's got something there, but any time I watch him live he is never as good as your hoping. I don't think he would go to the premier league, he is so good in Brazil towards the crap defenders of lesser oppositions were as we all know the strength of premier league defenses. don't get me wrong I would say no but Spain is his destination, threy'll pay through the nose patch for him and for the same amount of money you could get 1 or 2 great players more suited to the league.

When is Pearce going to get it into his head that Jacky Boy is a first team starter now, not an U21 player?

At the end of the day we pay him, train him, and nurse him back to health when it goes wrong, and suffer without him. Pearce, you need to back off and get over the whole Jack thing. Respect our player and our club and the work we put it. You do nothing to improve his health or his career and every comment you make about him stepping back down to your level is taken as a middle finger. If you don't rate the U21s then that's your problem - Jack is senior player now.

If you were to sell Jack Wilshere, what would you let him go for?

I would take no less than 100 mil.

I don't care how ridiculous that is. touch wood he stays fit and keeps improving, he could become one of the worlds best players.

Let's hope he is a Steven Gerrard type of player for us. A loyal legend.

Nick.

Believable23 Unbelievable2

We should not EVER consider selling JW for any amount of money, the days are gone where we have to sell to balance the books.

We were all frustrated in selling Cesc, RVP, Nasri, Clichy etc. . But they were all for financial reasons or because the players wanted to leave for their own reasons.

As long as JW wants to stay, and he is paid the going rate in wages there is no reason why he should be sold.

We now need to add 1 or 2 world class players every season for the next 3 or 4 years and we will be back where we belong.

I read a while ago that some commentator had said that England's future success is down to managers like Arsene developing young English talent. I think that they're absolutely right.

I'm proud to support a club that does so much to develop world class players and I'm glad that the league is now focusing on developing English talent. I think that it's pretty great that Arsene has really focused on these players as last night the best two players on the pitch seemed to be Theo and Jack.

So last night I think that was one of the first times I really enjoyed watching England play and hopefully the gunners can be a major part of any English success.

a message to the of the world - stay away from our jack -

the guy absolutely ran the show, his link play with theo and the others was brilliant. all the hype around him is justified but we should let him develop into an allround player without the pressures of media intrusion.

the media will go into a frenzy and have the perrenial vultures hovering around trying to prise him out of the emirates. personally jack has his heart in the club and isn't like the other mercenaries we've had in the past.

the future of england will be down to arsenal - mark my words - jack theo ox gibbs jenko will form the nucleus of the team.

Not a Arse fan but thought I'd share a question.

In your opinion how much do you think Jack Wilshire is worth and do you think if that bid came in then arsenal would look to cash in? if arsenal made x on Wilshire and got a half decent transfer fund from the owners etc I could easily see them building a team to challenge!

Jack is priceless. Based on quite simlpy he is irreplaceable at present. Look at the impact he has when playing for England. He is a footballing natural who could walk into pretty much ANY team. He wouldn't look out of place in barcelonas team right now.
Anuy offer for jack would be rejected. No matter how much!

neymar £40+ mill

falcoa £50+ mill

canavani £50+ mill

jack wilshere has just wiped some of the best players in the world of the pitch.

if any other club wants him they better come up with a 1 of payment for about £80+ mill.

Can anyone see us keeping Jack Wilshere if we go another 7 years without winning anything, to deprive such a talent of trophies is a crime in itself. I for one wouldn't cry if Barca or Bayern etc. came calling in a few years no matter how much he loves the club. He could easily have slotted into that Brazil team & it would have been a different result I bet.

"I for one wouldn't cry if Barca or Bayern etc. came calling in a few years no matter how much he loves the club" - what are you sm0k!ng mate? he's part of our future and will be the best midfielder in the world soon enough. once FFP kicks in Arsenal won't have to sell their best players any more because clubs won't be able to spend ridiculous amounts to tempt players away.

"There is no getting away from it. Jack Wilshere is the key to England’s future. The truth is that with the young midfielder, England can compete with the BEST. Without him, they cannot" - The Sun

"The England shirt does not act like a straitjacket on Wilshere as it can do to others, He certainly played with a hunger as if the term 'friendly' was an alien concept. " - The Daily Telegraph

Well I got to say it looks like England have been missing that arsenal flair what a difference jack made to the England team tonight actually didn't get bored watching them for once. Also I thought Theo was impressive tonight Adriano didn't know what to do with him. All I can say the future for England success will be down to arsenal with the likes of Gibbs Theo Jack Ox and Jenkinson, Who knows there might be more arsenal players in the future to add to that list. Also would just like to say I hope that shuts all the utd fans about cleverly being as good or better than jack Please stop kidding yourselves jack is in another league compared to cleverly.

If we finish 4th and I think we will then in the summer we really need to build on what we've got and get rid of what we don't need. So we should get rid of all of the deadwood with us and all players that we don't want but couldn't sell so they went out in loan. For the buys we should get an experienced GK a top class centre halve a big, tough tackling tank CDM and a striker who can also play winger if that would make us title contenders!

Arsene been commenting on Gundogan about how impressive he was tonight vs France,

seeing the imminent departure of Lewandolski to Bayern most likely. could that be a exodus of players leaving?

Gundogan would be a Arsene signing, this might be the time to get his main man Gotze aswell. although his best mate Reus just moved to the club. might be our only chance of signing him, Madrid will sign him if we don't
