I really expected us to sign someone today. I thought the thinking behind it would have been for a morale boost before spurs then the player would be integrated for the next game
It's going to be a bad atmosphere at the emirates tomorrow. I still think we can do spurs though.
Wenger's right about team balance, spurs are no better off with the new players YET but they have improved their team significantly. Unlike our team.

When I first heard about the Suarez bid, not only did I not believe it, but I didn't want it either. He might be a phenomenal player but he will easily cause trouble for the team.
I'm surprised Arsenal would nearly treble their current transfer record to secure such a man.
Since then I've warmed to the idea (based on our lack of spending and his 23 premier league goals last season) as he is proven in the premier league. And hey, maybe we need a bad boy player since the days of Vieira and Keown.
No one has touched on Suarez's plight (aplogies if you have and I haven't read it)though. It looks like he's the bad guy trying to force a transfer but Liverpool went to the press long before him. I believe he has been duped in his latest contract. He clearly thought a £40mil bid would let him leave and it wouldn't surprise me if they had told him he could leave if they didn't get champions league football. I think Henry is the bad guy here (see his tweet about what Arsene has been smoking?) even if he doesn't come to Arsenal I think he deserves the right to what he has been promised.

I don't blame people for booing, it's the only way fans are heard. I doubt they look at blog pages for our opinions. I wouldn't boo myself and never have, but I can understand their frustration.
Every fan loves the preseason transfers and not doing that they are not attracting fans. the more fickle fans will move on too. before people say "we don't want fans like that at Arsenal"Remember that more fans means more money and a better team but the quality of those fans means little unless they make a bad atmosphere at games.
I like most football fans look forward to preseason but for us Arsenal fans it just brings frustration and disappointment, This is the first season I can remember where we haven't been amidst rumours of our players leaving and we haven't (sanogo aside) signed anyone.
I'll never turn my back on my team but I have on the transfer window as it brings me little excitement any more.

Cannot believe some of the fans do not even wait until the final whistle to air their perceived grievances.
Man Citeh and Man United both lost this preseason you do not see their fans typing in vitriol about the squad or the coaching staff.
Get behind the team.
The preseason games are meaningless and are designed to increase fitness, match sharpness, and blood new / young players.
I agree that arsenal need to sign a couple players but the window is open for another month.
So along with the first poster I urge fellow gooners to keep calm and carry on or renew your lithium prescriptions.

In fairness, Liverpool fans had their meltdown years ago. Their used to mediocrity now. A few are still deluded though, And believe themselves to be title challengers.

Cabaye is quality, we just need defenders and a striker a lot more. I still want fellaini as well.
