This is my worry, rvp left us last season because he claimed the club were not going in the direction he wanted it to, so if we had all this money to spend, why didn't we we convince him that we were going to buy some quality players?. this makes me think that although gazidas has promised to spend big, he won't & we will find it even harder than last season to make top four. hope I'm wrong & we go after fellaini, hig or Suarez.

1.) Honestly, I think at the time of negotiations, we didn't know where our commercials were. Don't forget they had talks almost exactly a calender year previously, to the date our commercials came in. How could Wenger have given RVP anything concrete to go on in order to convince him to stay?
