Hi fellow Gooners, wanted to say great start to the season but the squad is as thin as victoria beckham. It is criminal to go into a season with only one striker and one right winger, that said a bench of Viviano, Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Monreal, Flamini, Podolski, Wilshere. With a 1st 11 of Szeneny, Sagna, Mertasacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Ramsey, Ozil, Walcott, Cazorla, Giroud with Rosicky, Sanogo and Bendtner is pretty good, just wanted to ask Eds if Reus or Draxler could be a possibilty

1.) Whether you think the squad is thin is a matter of faith really. You do rather paradoxically point out that our bench (once injuries clear up. ) is pretty strong. Some of our youth in this generation actually look like they can make the transition to the first team. Gnabry wasn't our best player against Stoke, but certainly looked at at ease to be there, and really didn't let us down. There are certainly games this season where these guys can play for their future. Is it better to buy a star for their spot? Wenger seems to have that balance tipping well this season in my opinion.

On your specific points about the striker and right wing positions consisting of 1 player, you must agree that's over the top? (maybe you're dissapointed to be top of the league so far Islington?)

Firstly, don't agree we play with a right winger in this system. Walcott plays like one in that position because his speed and finishing are his best assets I think, over his passing and awareness. Cazorla and the Ox are both first teamers who can play on the right. After that we have Gnabry, Ryo and even Ramsey. Not really short.

Up front, number-wise, Podolski, Walcott and Bendtner give us options. Sanago and Akpom pushing for chances. I agree that we're short of one really quality option after Giroud. It's important to get the right player when you play 1 striker though. Look at the problems chelsea are having settling on a first team. City can operate with 4 really class strikers because the rotation and sub opportunities are increased with 2 up top.

It's the arsenal injury plague that will decide whether this squad is still competitive come January. I think the team is very strong, and the lack of respect we get in the media is a joke. As Di Canio would have; keep your chin up! Looking forward to seeing the team and performance in the cup tomorrow!

Hi Eds and fellow posters, Buzzing about the Ozil deal and how it affects our season, automatically helps us achieve our goals not only due to his ability but also increasing confidence and ability in the current squad players Theo and Giroud will love him in the squad and could get 25+ goals each. 1 question 2 any of the eds, was there real interest in Rooney and Ramos and would we go back in for both or any other player back in Janurary. {Ed013's Note - There was interest early on, but not towards the end of the window. Its really hard to say if any interest will develop in January when prices will be higher and no manager wants to sell their best players half way through a season}

Hi Eds wanted to ask wheter the interest in Karim Benzema and Angel Di Maria is genuine and real and also whether we have any chance of both players signing fot the arsenal {Ed027's Note - it seems we are trying to, Di Maria yes, Benzema not to sure
