We have Vermaelen, Diaby, Artery, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey, Podolski and Wilshere all out with injuries. I think you need to revise your idea of intact.
Some strength in depth would be nice. When the players that you mentioned inevitably get injured, will you still be happy? Or how about playing players out of position because of those injuries? Let's put Bendtner back on the wing shall we? Not to mention players get comfortable and rest on their laurels with lack of competition. For those reasons and more Wenger will refer to not have bought more during this off season.
You also have to factor in substitute appearances, and poor Bendtner was played on the wing for some inexplicable reason :/
That's not what a common denominator is.
