According to the Crystal Palace management the Bendtner deal hinges on whether we can sign another striker.

I find the fact that Özil decided to publicly single out the influence and importance of Wenger (who's fluent in German) in his decision to join Arsenal to be quite interesting. It clearly shows how much this club is benefiting from our coach. It also shows that some headline-seeking commentators such as Piers Morgan are rather clueless when it comes to the finer details of management.

1.) Good post. I'd rather hear admiration for Wenger based on solid football business reasons than some of the AKB postings on his general wonderfulness that have benn made of late. It's good to remind ourselves that we are a great club and Arsene's role in that, just as it is wise to acknowledge the problems of the past few years, even if we don't know who wears what part of the blame.

For those who call for Wenger out without any of us knowing the full story of what's going within Arsenals executive, remember he could end up managing PSG or Monaco or a club with new big money; a club we'd had to compete with in Europe and to attract top players.

2.) +1 Good reply :)

Stop embarrassing yourselves by letting other teams make fun of our team and joining them in doing so. It's pathetic get behind your team.

This is what someone posted on the Liverpool board:

"Any LFC fan in need of cheering up go and take a look on the Arsenal banter page. Half of them are in meltdown. Lol."

mxchxxl

1.) That's because a lot of our fans are in meltdown.

Do you blame them for their utter frustration and despair, as our club is currently set for decline, when the opportunity i.e. the club has money, to move forward is not happening? Because of our incompetent, control freak and disinterested senior people at our club?

That is separate from supporting the team on the pitch, on the day and I don't give damn what other fans are saying-

This is OUR club and we are concerned for its future with the current leadership and policies.

2.) In fairness, Liverpool fans had their meltdown years ago. Their used to mediocrity now. A few are still deluded though, And believe themselves to be title challengers.

3.) In total agreement

My oh my! Some of you on this site.

Do you really think being angry on a fan board is going to change anything? Save your breath.

The behavior of a lot of you guys is akin to players who surround a ref after a penalty is given. It's futile as the ref will not change his decision. What the players should do is move on and accept the decision, then hope their keeper will save the shot.

So if you are still following my analogy just move on past the fact that we haven't thrown around great sums of money yet as what's happened has happened and you can't change it. You should just hope that we do something significant in the next few days.

Am I disappointed that we haven't brought in big names. Yes, but whining is not going to do anything. You should be positive and try to support the club in our final push to bring names in.

mxchxxl

1.) So you advocate just sitting back quietly and doing nothing? we are impotent in many respects, this board just want the money and this is the ONLY way to protest short of totally boycotting the games and that will never happen, you have as much chance of that happening as AW buying the right players

Hey guys could we not have an "i told you so" rant come the end of the window, irrespective of whether things go really well or really badly.

Additionally could we rather than berate and ridicule some of the members of this site, tolerate them as we are all apart of the same Arsenal family.

Lastly, could we remove the negativity. Let's go in the last couple days of the window with our heads up and hope for the best.

Look at all the other fan boards. It's only ours that is filled with hate and negativity.

mxchxxl

1.) True That

2.) I didn't see any other club bragging about how much they have to spend did you?

And if they did I am sure they would have spent some by now.

If you are a true Arsenal fan you would be livid about how the club has conducted itself during this window.

Shambolic sums the bloody lot up

3.) So you should wonder why is that is the case. Definitely something is majorly wrong with the club and what's happening.

This is real life not fifa!

Just because other clubs have spent great sums of money and brought in lots of players it doesn't mean that they will have immediate success. Players take time to gel and tactics take time to perfect.

This is why Spurs and Liverpool will not be instant threats. However the spurs next season and the future definitely will.

What we have over them is that are squad is in sync and has gelled. Everyone knows their role and we have set tactics. We will play as 1 team, rather than 11 individuals.

Ultimately, it's actually ridiculous to see that some people are placing us in 6th and in some cases 7th in their projected standings this year. Judge transfers and squads changes at the end of the season.

mxchxxl

1.) My friend you speak so much sense. Totally agree, a little bit of foresight has to be seen.
You will bet abuse, stay strong. Certain fans just don't get it.

2.) Chelsea and Man City's spending has never improved them your right we're persons you definitely can't see a pattern of high spending teams being successful.

Can people stop suggesting Spur's haven't made good transfers. They have. Time to gel that's what pre season is for. That's why you sign early.

Wenger came out with this crap the other day. " More than 3 signings can ruin a team" or some bollo*ks. Absolute garbage don't fall for his sh*t

3.) Mxchxxl . You are quite right mate it does take a while to gel. But in our case it would be nice if there were a few players for our team to gel with son. Word of warning! We noticed that Wengerism is trying to be your pal! He could be leaving soon!

Ty1 how has he weakened it? He's essentially kept it the same and removed those who were a waste of space and not playing anyway.

What you think squillaci should have stayed.

Nope they're just looking to add a striker as Laudrup wants another.

Any suggestions Gunner62 for those roles?

Michu is not worth 25 million and Swansea wouldn't sell as they wouldn't be able to find a replacement.

Pogba isn't going anywhere, but I would be pleased if he did come.
