I heard from a mate who works in the media in Holland, that we will bid 10m for Chamberlain and it looks likely that it will be accepted, only united can stop us but he wants to come to arsenal, so expect him in the first-team next season.
I also heard that we are VERY interested in Benzema, so i can confirm that arsenal is making work of Benzema. RM and Arsenal have to agree a price for him and arsenal will make a bid in the next few weeks.
I do only hear information from this source, when it is no bulls**t information. So, there's surely truth in this information. He works for a newspaper ( Eindhoven Dagblad).

Do you have some news on Chamberlain, can you confirm what i just said? {Ed001's Note - all I have heard regarding Benzema is that he wants first team guarantees, United, Arsenal and Liverpool have all had a longstanding interest in him, but I assumed the guarantees he sought would rule out anyone making a move. As for Chamberlain, I was told he was not going to move this summer, he is happy to stay and play in the CCC next season.}

We need six players
A world class GK - Given, Buffon, Neuer, Lloris
get rid of almunia, lehmann; fab on loan (prem) for confidence, mannone on loan
(prem) for confidence
A world class CB, to play with vermaelen and djorou and kos.
Sakho, Subotic or Mexes (someone with a physical presence, and who can defend). May be vertoghen (too £££)
Forget cahill (too much)
CM like felipe melo, on gokhan inler.
Scott Parker would be great, but need a hardman. If cesc goes, then parker plus a one of the other two.
ditch denilson, diaby
Winger - lets face it, apart from nasri, we don't have world class, therefore need HAZARD, ditch the russian, rosicky, keep walcott for prem, and extend nasri
Striker - Need falcao and or benzema.
ditch bender, and chamakh.
RVP too injury prone so we need 2 world class strikers.
We need to shell out £60-70 guys. do the maths.
Even if we don't sell fab, we should be able to recoup 30-40 mil from all the sh*t players we have, and he have alot.

Everyone needs to calm down and come to terms with the fact that there simply will not be any massive changes to the squad this summer it never has and never will be the Wenger way. He will refuse to splash the cash on a top quality defender as he will claim that Vermaelen will be like a new signing! However, i do remain hopeful that he will completely change his policy to avoid a 7th season without a trophy. Likely changes to the squad are as follows:
Transfers in: C. Jenkinson (Undisc. from Charlton), S. Savic (8m from P. Belgrade - on Sky Sports Website), A. Diarra (7m from Bordeaux), E. Hazard (12m + add ons from Lille) and Bojan (p/ e).
Transfers out: M. Almunia, S. Squillaci, I. Miquel (loan), Denilson, Fabregas, Rosicky and Bendtner. As well as some of the other youth players leaving on loan.
This will leave the squad looking like this:

I for one am encouraged by Arsene's recent comments on the fact were a naive team, I also feel were to one dimensional in our play. This summer will tell us alot about the clubs ambitions and there understanding of the fans. They must know we need big, strong minded players, players at the top of the game and reveered(spelling) already through world football. They also i feel have a very true knowledge of how the fans patience is running very thin. Clubs like Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Man Utd will all spend this summer some in ridiculous amounts to challenge for the title next season. Its very feasible you could have a squad of world class players having spent 200M and not make europe. So come on Arsene and the board show us you mean business next season otherwise those stadium payments are gonna get harder with less fans buying merchandise and going to games.

Why play football manager? Do you really think wenger is going to bring in 5-6 new players?
Besides Cesc who is the most likely to be sold, no other players are defined as TO BE SOLD.
bendtner - wants out
Clichy - Wants out / or more money
Nasri - wants more money
Almunia - nice guy crappy footie player.
Denilson - not a bad bench player. .should be sold if possible.
Rosicky - one more year on contract
Arshavin - Time up on the lil russians arsenal life.
Wenger does have some sort of summer plan is how id like to think. He will not sell for the sake of selling.
He will look at a winger. .direct replacement for arshavin.He will possibly get a new GK, as i personally don't think he can risk having one good option and then have him go down and almunia and fabianski try cover for him. One defender who can play DM aswell.
If we do have ourself a good sale on fabregas. .wenger listen. .Bojan, Thiago Alcantara + 10 million for cesc.
Get Benzema from Real, its looking very likely real are going to hunt for Tevez.

Ike, I think that by bringing in the 4 players i mentio ned would make a vast difference to the team in general; they are all different players to ones we have now. .
Cahill - Stong, powerfull, experianced has true English grit, something we need in the prem.
Parker - Inspirational. A leader. A player others can turn to when the chips are down.
Hazard - A natrual talent. A natrual winger. This guy will make it big. Adds the little bit extra of skill and flair which we can lack at times.
Falcao - A fox in the box. A selfish striker. He'll score shed loads. He can finish the chances we create.
However as you have said, will Arsene brain wash these players with his sometimes banal style of play? I sincerely hope not. Although Pat Rice has done great things for us, i hope he does retire at the end of the season. The perrfect replacement would be Ray Wilkins; he's orchestrated many title winning sides at Chelsea and he knows how to win ugly. I just doubt he would ever join a top 4 team again after the way Chelsea treated him.
Whatever happens this summer Wenger will spend. Whether he spends the right amount on the right player is another question. I would be exstatic is Dein was re-appointed and Usmanov subsequently took over. I wouldn't be looking for a Man city style spending spree, but for us to be able to flex our financial muscle a bit more so we can pull of major transfers. When we moved for Reina last summer it was Arsene who initiated the move, it was just the board who baulked at coughing up an extra fiver to sign him. There has to be change at board level.
