ED do you no anything about Leandro Damiao, Thierry Henry, Gary Cahill ,Douglas Costa, Daniele De Rossi, Juan Manuel Vargas,montilivo and reus they are all linked with the club but will any of them join. and do you reckon arsenal could catch up to the title :) {Ed001's Note - Damiao I have never heard linked with Arsenal. Henry is simply keeping fit by training with the club during the off season. Cahill is a main target for Chelsea, never heard him linked with Arsenal. No idea about Costa or De Rossi. Vargas was linked before Santos signed. Montolivo I don't know anything about either. Reus has been linked but I am told it is unlikely in January. As for the title, no I don't think Arsenal have a chance of winning the league this season. I can't see City or United both dropping enough points to allow Arsenal to catch up.}

Ed you haven't head of gary cahill being linked with arsenal? where have you been for the past couple years? {Ed001's Note - has he joined in previous years? No, because the links were nonsense and I was referring to solid links from people I trust, not tabloid lies. Chelsea and Spurs are the only ones showing a current interest in him. Though it is difficult to be sure as teams don't really need to scout him any longer.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard an offer was put on the table to Internacional by Arsenal. One was also made from Spurs.

Ed it's fair to say that if Bolton had accepted our offer this summer then he would have joined us. Cahill may think he's going to Chelsea but that doesn't mean that Spurs and we aren't trying to get him. I hope we don't, but even so, he's probably been our strongest linked player!

I hope he goes to Chelsea or Spurs. He doesn't impress me at all, and I believe he is about as good as Djourou if I'm honest. The problem will be if he develops into a much better player.

Thanks we will buy him then, be a lot better than that stranded German tank you bought.

Spuds made an offer for damiao in the summer, but it got rejected

Ed Any True Behind Damiao To Arsenal? {Ed002's Note - Leandro Damiao seems to be of interest to several clubs at the moment not least AC Milan who want him to replace Cassano but need to free up a non EU quota spot to buy him. Spurs and Arsenal have apparently have taken a look recently as have Porto and PSG. His agent is talking up offers but that will probably not be anything to do with transfer fees, just possible wages. Over the summer there was also interest from Juve, Roma, Lyon, Sporting Lisbon and Barcelona have shown some interest in the past two months.}

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Thanks Ed, Where Do You Think He Will End Up? {Ed002's Note - I really don't know, but if Cassano is not declared fit then AC Milan may be favorites.}

Agree0 Disagree0

No shock the spuds are now scouting leandro damia aswell

just seen on twitter-not best source, something about new investment from alisher usmanov and new leadership from david dein, watch this space...: hopeful?

Believable20 Unbelievable11

I read your post and went to Usmanov's twitter page (not following him though) - it's pretty funny:

'Tony Adams will re-sign following #Kroncky being oust #arsenallegend'

'I have arranged for Arsenal legend to train with us' (Henry pic link)

'Dear @SeppBlatter are you #Kroncky in disguise? #OUT'

The list goes on, his twitter is hilarious, go and check it out it's worth it. Surely it can't be his, some of the stuff he's saying?!

Raz

Agree0 Disagree0

Very unlikely as Usmanov is not even on the board and with the new financial regulations coming into place clubs will only be able to spend what they earn

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive just seen on there-twitter, not usmanovs page-if its a real one, someone else,that kronke has been asked to consider it,and there has been some movement.

Agree0 Disagree0

AST(Arsenal Supporters Trust) members are saying that changes could well be happening. Originally posted by Alex Fynn who is very engrossed in the finances of top football clubs. He has links in to Arsenal.

just seen an article saying that arsenal and fiorentina have agreed a deal for ricardo montilivo, and all that needs doing is sorting out personal terms

Believable26 Unbelievable8

Where did you see this? I have found articles saying we're chasing him, saying we're getting closer, and saying that Fiorentina have said he cannot leave in January and so will leave on a free in the summer. But nothing in the last 3 weeks about it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw it in the Gazette della Sporte (I live in Florence and am a native speaker! the locals arent happy about this !!)

Agree0 Disagree0

Native speaker really? That would be the Gazzetta dello sport, and Ricardo Montolivo not the gazette della sporte or montilivo.

Agree0 Disagree0

They look like pretty simple spelling mistakes to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Also mentions arsenal and de rossi

And funnily enough you can click on the big Union Jack at the top of their homepage and incredibly the page is translated in to English. God, the Internet's brilliant.
