Alan Brazil stated that he's heard strong rumours that Rooney is Emirates bound.

I heard it too. He said he wants Shrek to stay at United so maybe it is true as he didn't seem that happy. Suggested they were in talks?!

quite a few reliable people on twitter had said we were after him and in so much words said he would join us from a while back. as we can see evidently with arsenal completing big deals takes time I hope it's true and a few newspapers yesterday reported we were offering 33m for rooney. I guess we'll know sep 2.
