Strong rumours ozil has handed in a transfer request? Even if this is true I'm not as bothered as I should be? He needs to massively step up in my opinion

Hands in a transfer request 4 months before the next transfer window. Ok.

If it turns out he does want out, fine, but why say it now. He would be left to train with the kids and not kick a ball for the next 4 months.

I've not read anywhere about him wanting out at all but if that is the unfortunate case we should all be concerned because he is the best number 10 and given the chance to play in that central role behind the striker without having to track back and defend he is absolutely quality there. He's been mistreatd tactically at Arsenal and would shine at any other club that let's him play his natural game.
