My take on the Suarez 'rubbish'.

Lads, do not believe the Suarez tripe.

In my honest opinion, no bid has happened nor will it. It is not a warning to Madrid the story is literally 'nothing'. All they are doing is trying to fill the pages, they had nothing new on Higuain, Rooney or Fellaini today so they needed to get their Arsenal fix somewhere.

People are saying it's a warning or 'tactic' to Madrid, that's rubbish.

If Madrid are holding for more cash for Higuain (i. e. 30m) this doesn't send a warning, just proves to them right that we can afford to pay the 30m, hence why I believe it is complete and utter bollox. And I simply cannot see Wenger signing someone who will miss the first 6 or 7 games or has a poor attitude. Reasons like this is why we never signed the likes of Barton, Melo or Mvilla, AW doesn't like players with massive egos or bad attitudes.
If there is any truth in this, I beleive this is only a tactic to take the media attention away whilst we wrap up Higuain.

P. S. Happy Monday, let us hope Higuain to Arsenals confirmed tomorrow, I personally think it will be. Although we are spending we will not miss a marketing opportunity. Imaginer unveiling the shirt tomorrow with Higuain and Higuain holding aloft the new short with #20 (Sales will be through the roof) {Ed052's Note - Arsenal did indeed bid for Suarez}

Well it does prove they are willing to spend 30 million but at the same time it says if we were to forced to spending more money we would maybe use it on another target.

i do believe there is some truth to it mate.

not sure if the 30mill bid was a starting bid, but if you can imagine suarez and higuain upfront, I think we would have the second best forward line in the world behind messi and neymar, even rvp and rooney would not match us.

two players with supreme movement, both players have very high conversion rates, and even if we were to spend 40mill on suarez and 25 mill on higuain, it would be not only a signal of intent, but we would be downright favourites to win the title.

im aware this it is arsenal, where dreams signings rarely come true, but I think for another 5 weeks, we can afford to dream, as that is what the transfer window does.

if its a tactic to push real's hand, it was worth the shove, but if it is to actually sign the player and then also get their player.

real are left with the last standing option. get gareth bale. and that suits us just fine.

wenger has to be aware, lewandowski is going to go on a free to bayern, cavani is joining psg, falcao at monaco, perhaps ibrahimovic to madrid?

the striker market it getting thin. gomez, damiao, jovetic, soldado remain. I would not want to spend over 18 mill on any of these. let's hope we get higuain.
