Bids for Higuan and Suarez all feints for real target (Wender in a recent interview stated Higuan not a target). Arsenal knew full well Suarez contract clauses.
Real target not been playing at moment due to injury and has reasons for leaving not directly connected to the club. If real target were announced early, would spark a media and other club frenzy. Expect it all to happen on the last day.

That maybe a nice way of saying we played poker the right way.

however considering we made an actual bid for Suarez, and then upped it some more and a pound, and cocked up some other deals.

The fact is arsenal have done themselves no favours, they put bids so low, that clubs were wondering if it was to buy shares in the club or buy players.

With 6 days to go, our season will be defined by the players we effectively add to our depth, or add none and end another year with no silver ware.
