Sorry guys what day is it today?
I thought it was August 28th. Looking at the posts on here you'd have thought it was the 3rd Sep. Some of you guys need a calendar.
What a joke.
There's still time in the window left.
We have won 3 games in a row and the manager still gets stick.
Unbelievable!
We've got Sanogo. People giving him abuse. Disgraceful!
We are going to get Flamini, blinding addition. So what if he's free.
To be completely honest, even if we don't sign anyone else, we could compete.
I would still like a couple of additions.
But just think about it for a minute.
If Wenger HAS the money and is ALLOWED to spend it, and doesn't. He would have done so for a reason.
He isn't mad, he isn't tight.
He has the clubs best intentions.
He obviously thinks that the likes of Ramsey, Rosicky, Ramsey and Jenkinson are going to play a big part.
What makes me laugh the most is in the next 3-4 years when the likes of Ramsey, Jenkinson etc. Are world stars.
You all will be saying how Wenger was a genius for giving them their chance
Get a grip people.

Good positive post again, God I wish I had your optimism, we do need4/5players, not world class but strong players ready now not 3/4 years.down the line. We will have a better idea Sunday night.

Wengerism you know I love you to bits and have defended you on here many times, but my friend, you are thinking short term with certain things you said.
yes we have won 3 games against mediocre opposition but the reason people are getting upset with the arsenal "heirarchy" is how on gods green earth are we going to compete in prem league, champs league, fa cup and carling cup (or whatever its called). approx 60 games with a threadbare squad?

The only point I'm going to touch on with your post is the 3 games we have won. 2 against Fenerbache. A team of has beens on a retirement jaunt to turkey. And Fulham. A team who gave little threat to us. Typical of the teams we beat towards the end of last season.
Il get a grip when you get realistic!

Again the staunch defence of AW comes on line again defending the possibility that we may not sign anyone by the 3rd of Sept. It is AW who needs to get a grip not us supporters, we cannot challenge with the light weight squad that we have although we have a good young group of players which we all readily acknowledge. AW has got to pull some magic transfers from his hat by the 3rd or face the rage of everyone except you Wengarism.

If Arsenal had two Aaron Ramseys I wouldn't be so worried about the squad right now. As it is fans attending the match this Sunday may want to bring their boots cause they might get a game.

I think you know that a lot of these assumptions are incorrect. As Wenger conoisseur, you must see that this is probably the thinnest squad we have had under him, and the club's behaviour this window is much more like the disaster 2 years ago than the good one last year. We are 4 days from the close and not near any signings. Flamini would be alright but not as good as Kondogbia for example, who is available if we shell out the cash. This supports suspicions that the club value cash reserves ahead of success.

You are right - the players you have listed and our first team generally looks great. And certainly people shouldn't be slating Sanogo. But the season is longer than 3 games - we can't have slip ups like Villa regularly. If we only have a strong 1st team we will become predictable and prone to injury disaster. We will not improve on last year; I think you know this, in spite of your protestations.

So good for you if you are happy with our squad situation, but the rest of us have good reason to be concerned. If that troubles you, I suggest that you yourself get a grip.
