Reality:
A couple of free transfers
A couple of lowish cost signings, around £8-10m each.

Why do we fall for it every season?

Yes, we signed Ozil for £42.5m, last season, but don't foget we sold Gervinho & couple of others and still had funds over from the sales of Nasri, RVP, Song & Fabregas.

Totally agree Robbie, IMO Benzema is the ideal target to go for but wenger will offer £12m then £15m and he'll go to PSG for £22m on a mega bucks contract of £250k a week. Unfortunately we won't entertain that price or contract, shame because it would re-unite Ozil & Benzema which could land 2015 title. 2 more sleeps til Wembley COYG

The money making machine that is AFC will continue to take in all it can and payout as little as possible until the product it produces loses its value to the customer, there is no sign of that happening so ticket prices will rise and spending will be minimal.
It will only end when either we don't make the champions league or ticket sales fall dramatically.
Its a shame but it will sadly take either of them to happen for the club to change course

I agree with gooner134- there is a waiting list. If you don't renew, someone else will take your place - simple.

what Robbie G said may well pan out (hopefully not), but it won't be because of season tickets, always thought that was a bit of a myth.
