Happy Friday everyone,

Ed, heard a rumour that Joel Campbell will be heading to Newcastle with Tiote coming in the opposite direction this January. Apparently Pardew let slip on the weekend?

Do you think there's anything to this? Why the f#*k would Wenger hold onto JC and not play him when his stock was so high post World Cup?

Thanks as always,

Poor Joel Campbell is waste at Arsenal, he will never get regular first team football, especially now that Walcott is back and Giroud will be back in afew weeks. He has great potential and I really hoper Wenger sells him abroad.

But for Tiote? No thanks, he's not the CDM we are looking for, if Alex Song wasnt deemed good enough then Tiote certainly isnt. I know AC Milan were interested in Campbell in the summer, maybe a straight swap for Nigel De Jong? (I know thatll never happen)

Haha

I'm actually not sure, someone posted it on another blog but said "inside sources" confirmed there is interest.

*rolls eyes*

Just wondering if you had heard anything, or if you could provide insight on why Arsene kept Joel Campbell if he did not have plans to use him, while there were numerous clubs interested in him post World Cup?

It just doesn't make sense, Wenger loves to complain about Chelsea's and Citeh's financial doping, but we throw money away on our wage bill like it's going out of style!

Anyways, I value your opinion on things so I was just curious.

Thanks again,

I feel sorry for JC, but to be honest with Walcott and Gnarby back we already have plenty of options. I can see a team like Sporting Lisbon being an ideal location for him to ply his trade and am perhaps 'falsely' hoping that we will use him as part of a deal to sign Carvhello in January. It would be extremely disappointing if he went to Newcastle in exchange for Tiote instead though, a bit like trading the Jag for a Fiat.
