Guys just having a look around some media sites and Villas Boas has been interviewed saying he has unfinished business in the EPL. He claims he was forced out of Chelsea due to board room politics and the fact he was only 3 points of 2nd place when he left Spurs was a disgraceful decision from the board.

Would any of you guys consider him as a potential replacement for Wenger? If Wenger stays the 3 years (which looks likely) AVB would have matured a lot more and maybe be ready for a 'top club'. He is highly regarded among his fellow coaches and even Mourinho called him 'the perfect tactical scholar' when they worked together.

Thoughts?

Hes a charlatan. Definately not

I'd rather Dags took the job, with Banbury as his assistant!

How many chances does this guy need?

Personally he wouldn't be my first choice but I think we could do a lot worse. If and when Wenger decides to go and the top managers aka Ancelotti, Guardiola, Klopp etc are not available I could settle for AVB. I like the way his teams try to play and I think there is definitely more to come from him. Like I said not my first choice but not my last either.

Just not good enough, and also a manager that puts his ego before the good of the club.

The only reason AVB found work in the EPL was on the back of the Mourinho connection imho. Chairman looked at him and thought, 'AVB is young, Portuguese and worked with Mourinho, surely some of his good ideas have rubbed off him'. The man also completely wasted the Bale fee at Spurs so in hindsight, we have that to thank for :d
