Because the lid on Arsene's criticism proof shelter has been completely blown off this season and getting it any where close to fitting back on is going to take some doing.
The uafa cup is calling loud and clearfor us and most frightening of all for Arsene is spurs are very much in contention to replace us in the champions league, something that will provoke demonstration's and protests that will make the West brom banner the Stoke railway station and Southampton one man invasion look like a welcoming committee.
The clock is ticking and it may well be now or never time for Arsene

Haha true G62. The thing is we are in much more of a state this year than we normally are mid-season. I think even Wenger knows what a gamble it is to leave our current squad without adequate backup. I can imagine us signing at least one, probably a CB, maybe even on loan.
