If dreams come true our signings this summer would be...

Hugo Lloris - I know it's highly unlikely but him with our current defence just wow!

Spyder - Very possible and to be honest i believe that would complete our midfield.

Gareth Bale - World class potentially and how nice it would be to have an attacking threat on the right as direct as we now have on the left.

I don't get people's problem with Giroud, in my opinion he's a brilliant striker so no meed for another.

{Ed025's Note - hes not a "brilliant" striker JPSA, a good one granted but misses too many chances for me mate..but thats just my opinion..

Ok maybe brilliant is a bit strong ed25 but it would take a truly world class player to displace him, are we really going to spend that kind of money?
Even the Lloris and Bale types are very unrealistic.

{Ed025's Note - its the hardest job in football JPSA, putting the ball in the net is as they say the ultimate goal, if suarez had signed for arsenal then i know they would have won the league this year mate, these draws and slim defeats have cost arsenal dear this season, and i know you might not agree but if a worldie had them chances we are looking at another 12-14 points imo..

I agree ed, he's been in fantastic form this year, but still missed some important chances, Monaco games sticks out and when he's not on point our next move is eelbeck... Even if we don't get an improved striker he definately needs better cover and competition, for when he's having an off day or heaven forbid a long lay off like early in the season, when we really missed him

{Ed025's Note - thats right eden mate..

Think it's a little harsh to imply we lost the league because Giroud missed a few chances.
I would say it has far more to do with our shabby defence during the time we had Kos and Debuchy out, we lost a lot of points and ground during that time.
That added to the fact Giroud was out for three months speaks for itself in my opinion.
Now i don't disagree I'd love a Suerez but it would have to be someone of that calibre before I'd say blow all that cash on a replacement.

Hey JPSA, you say are we going to spend that kind of money on a striker to replace Olly but in the original post you say "Gareth Bale - World class potentially and how nice it would be to have an attacking threat on the right as direct as we now have on the left."

Just what kind of dosh would you expect Bale to cost? Manure are being touted as spending £100m to bring him back to the PL so you think Arsene would pay in that ball park. No way.
