With United set to make another quality signing in schneiderlin, they're fans are starting to get a real lift and think they're going to win the title next season, and it's doing my nut in! At least everyone else knows they still need to sort out that calamitous defence of theirs, find a quality replacement for de gea, and sign another striker. But still it's frustrating to see them doing very good business in a timely manor.

Don't get me wrong, Cech is an equally good, if not better signing than any of our rivals have made thus far, but with the business United and Liverpool have done so far, I can't be the only one feeling that doubt creeping back that we're going to leave it two late to make those crucial signings we need to become a serious threat at the top of the table, and we're only two good signings away from that!

I still have faith, but it would be nice to have just one summer in which we just say 'sod it!' and go out and just get the players we need as early as possible rather than two months of anxiety as our main rivals continue to do good, timely business and continue to strengthen.

Oh to be a gooner...

I beieve United have worked out the weaknesses in their squad and have signed a RB and two quality central midfield players. They still have the possibility of losing an excellent keeper and having to replace RVP. In order to stay ahead of them I believe we have signed a top keeper and now need to follow that up with a top notch midfield player, such as Vidal and a rapid, high-scoring striker.

I'm still not worried about utd next year. They still need at least a new striker cb and gK. If they sign top players for those positions ill be more worried

They have closed the gap dramatically over the last few days with two excellent signings, they still have obvious weaknesses but they suddenly look more capable of covering them.
Personally I think we're still a fair way ahead of them but let's see what the next few weeks bring for both teams before we get to excited either way.

That's one thing iv always admired about United . They just address the problem at hand asap. You won't hear United fans moaning about the same problem year after year .

Come on wenger just go and take 80 million from your war chest and get the men required

I wouldn't totally agree here, during the ferge era it took us about 8 years to sort the midfield :)

Mate I can't remember the last time you went 8years without been the best team in the land. And defo never under SAF.
