I'm having an issue with all the British players who are happily sitting on the bench collecting their wages, and doing absolutely nothing to improve. We have too many of those: Gibbs, Chambers, Jenkinson, Ramsey, Theo, Chamberlain. I don't include Welbeck because I respect him for his workload during games, he is not good enough quality wise, but I respect his hard work, plus he has been injured for most of the time. I like Wilshere as a player, but I think he should be sold because honestly we are not getting anything from him. 5 games a season is not good enough. I believe players are being ruined because they feel they achieved something in their life after they get a chance and earn some money while they are young. I think it's more attitude then quality related, England is desperate to have a world class players, by using "world class" I think of Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez caliber, so their newspapers are touting every 18 year old kid who has had two good games in a row a "world class" player. It's sad and embarrassing, because a huge pressure is being put on the shoulders of the young players and they have difficulties to develop mentally, and then football wise.
I'm writing this because I am not happy seeing you sit there smiling, never complaining about game time, showing no ambition at all, just sitting there collecting their wages and making up the numbers, while players like Joel Campbell are not being given any chance.

{Ed025's Note - i see your point MKD and agree to a certain extent, but if those same players started whining and calling the manager they would be labelled as traitors and want away big heads, its a fine line mate..

In fairness to Gibbs and Chamber's, we don't know what happens behind the scenes, they may be chomping at the bit to get game time but not given a chance.

Jenks went to West Ham for game time, but injury put an end to that.

Agree about Theo though.

This should have been a part of a much bigger post but I pressed send accidentally so it is what it is :) .
I see where you're coming from Ed, but I think if they are not getting a proper game time they should whine. If they believe in their ability they should make noise about it. What's the point of being at Arsenal or anywhere for 10 years and making 20 odd appearances? I think that's a wasted career. As for being labelled traitors for the reasons that are mentioned here, I don't think a reasonable man would make those claims. Put yourself in that situation, would you care? I know I wouldn't. Then it's up to them to prove that their previous clubs/ managers were wrong.

{Ed025's Note - as i said MKD you make some valid points mate, and although at times i will play devils advocate i would lean towards your way of thinking..

MKD, if I take one thing from Leicester is harmony in the squad so the mass adds up to more than the sum of the individuals. I understand what you are saying but an unhappy squad will just crumble like a Dutch world cup squad.
