Apart from some of the other baffling things that go on at our club, one of the most surprising is our recent captain situation. Our last two great periods at this club under GG and AW we had iconic captains who stood for no shizzle and put their bodies on the line for this club and set an example for all to follow, including fans. Now our captains armband is passed about to music in the dressing room like pass the parcel and we don't have that iconic captain and haven't for a decade and guess what, we look like it too. Wenger says now he likes to pass the captain around a bit, what a load of nonsense.

United fan in peace. I totally agree with you Steve! What arsenal have been missing this long time is someone like a viera or a keown running through walls and dragging everyone with them! Too many pansies running around the pitch passing the buck on to someone else. But this is all down to AW! I think if you got a new quality manager with new ideas it could take you to the next level! Just my opinion tho. Ps I do think you have a quality team!

Cohen Bramall as new skipper?

I'm less bothered about the armband, more concerned that individual players don't seem to take responsibility for their own performances and commitment. I don't suggest that having a flag bearer, a shouter, a leader isn't beneficial, but whether or not they stretch the armband over their resplendent tattoo's or not, I just want every player to want to bust a gut in pride and recognition at their immense good fortune to be in such a position in life, to play football, be rewarded handsomely and have th extra joy of doing it an Arsenal first team shirt.
