The goalkeeping situation at the club is interesting;
We have 3 experienced keepers: Cech, Leno and Ospina.
We also have 3 more keepers who are all at an age when they need to play first team football:
Martinez 26 in Sept
Macey 24 in Sep
Iliev 23 - has just signed a new contract

I am aware that keepers mature later than outfield players, but 6 keepers seems excessive. Presumably Ospina will move on and we may loan out Martinez again, who by the age of 26 we should be able to make a decision as to whether he has regular first team potential.

Cech or Leno as the first choice keeper?

{Ed002's Note - I have already explained that Ospina will go - so you can remove him from this completely. And I expect you might well hear something in the coming days as representatives of Besiktas are already in London trying to address some transfer business.}

Thank you 002, I hadn't seen your post on Ospina, which makes complete sense.
I would expect at least one or two of the three younger keepers to leave permanently or on loan.

{Ed002's Note - Everyone seems to be descending on London right now.}

I would have Leno and Cech to compete for first choice keeper. But I would start Leno v Man City. Hopefully we can get around £5-10m for him. Martinez i'd would sell loan. Macey and Illiev playing for U23's and bench for cup games etc.

Ed002 - Yes, all arriving in London!
In a World Cup year and with an early closure of the window on 9th August it's going to be a crazy 20 days! Thankfully Arsenal have brought in 5 players swiftly. I would imagine the major efforts will now be on exits, although the transfer windows overseas close later, so we can still sell or loan players to foreign clubs for a period after 9th August. Sorting out Ramsey and Welbeck must also be high on the agenda.
