The whole saliba situation really is odd. Anyone know if arteta just doesn't like the guy or if he's just plain and simply not ready yet. Seems such a waste of money signing spending 3 out of his 5 year contract on loan after paying 27m for him.

I think it's a question we will never be sure of the answer to D mate.

Anti Arteta fans will claim it's personal while pro Arteta fans will claim Arteta is acting for the future benefit of both player and the club.

There is one thing for sure and that's that none of Saliba Arteta or the club itself is going to come out and say anything that makes them look bad, so much like Ozil and others it will be down to everyone to chose what they believe lays behind the surface.

Let's hope it all works out for both the player and the club, I have never seen him play, but somebody thought he was worth 27 mil as a 19 year old. It would be good to know what happened with Ozil, he not lighting it up at Fenerbahce, sadly his type of player has been passed bye in todays high press game.

What we know for sure is the lads a talent that isn't being given a chance at Arsenal the real reason for that is only known by Arteta and whoever is if anyone is making the decision for or with Mikel.

If Mikel made a statement saying it was purely for footballing reasons, would we belive that D?
Personally I wouldn't because it doesn't make sense to me but who knows.

I don’t know why but I have a thought that Saliba was unhappy with the club for not allowing the loan back to France when he had issues in his family.

Arteta needs to get over that if the lad had a go at him and there will literally be no excuse for not keeping him.
