Hi ed001 mate, long time. Hope all is well. Moises Caicedo, do you rate him? I rate him from what I've seen, potentially rotating with Partey could be great. Why's your thoughts on the player such as qualities, weaknesses and areas of improvement?
{Ed001's Note - I rate him very highly. I don't see him as the same type as Partey, he is at his best playing with freedom in midfield ahead of a sitting mid. Similar to Kante really, though not quite at his level. At least not yet anyway.
His main qualities are mobility, aggression and workrate. He is very good at breaking up play and getting the ball back or putting pressure on so that it leads to a mistake.
Weaknesses are mostly his vision and passing I would say. He does need to work on those for the long term. Not that they are bad, but just something that could be improved. He is not the best in the air either, not that it is a big thing most of the time but you do have to think carefully about how to use him in defensive setpiece situations.}

That’s like buying a keeper who can’t catch or a striker who can’t shoot.

The original story I saw was saying he had handed in a transfer request but now the The Mirror online are saying Caciedo is prepared to hand in a transfer request.

What happens if a player hands in a transfer request?
{Ed014's Note - I don’t think they’re obliged to sell mate but guess that would depend on whether the club wanted to keep an unhappy player as it were.
They seem as though they know they’re going to lose him and just want the max amount of dosh they can get.

Yeah I don't blame them at all, they will likely get at least £60 mil for him in the summer. If he helps them get into Europe, that's worth 10s of millions, why would they sell unless someone pays insanely over the odds.

He has put on his social media that he would like to leave and has requested the owners to let him leave. This is more of an unofficial transfer request.

Ed014, I honestly feel we'll put one more half assed bid and get YT. Not that it will be bad business but still Caicedo is much closer to what Partey is. I'm just not excited about YT at all.
